"I'll find you no matter what!" Said John as he rushed jumping down from the cliff, it hurt when he landed but he's in ToonWorld, a world with cartoon logic so it can't kill him by just falling from high place but staying as a gold coin permanently is another issue, John started searching through this tall grass field, it very hard to find a small coin in a place like this but he have to, he don't want Carrie to have to stay like this, even if he failed to find her in one hour, at least bringing her back home as a coin is good enough, leaving her to stay in a field is just too cruel to think, but of course, he seeking for the outcome where he can find Carrie in time the most.
But John later find all of his effort didn't seem to work out, it been half an hour after the search was started, he didn't find any coin despite he's surely he was looking in the place where the coin should landed on the most "Shit, why I can't find her! Is this some dirty trick?" John yelled out in panicking.
"No" The goblin's voice shouted from the top of the cliff "You just didn't try enough"
"Oh yeah!? I was trying my best looking all over this damn field and I'm sure she should landed her but I find nothing! And you just decided to call me effort lacking on searching!? What the hell is your problem!"
"Come on! If you have time to yell at me, keep looking! Don't you want to have her back as a human anymore?"
"Fine!!!" But when John is about to go back to his search for the coin, he heard another voice behind him, unlike the goblin who have a very high pitch voice, this one have a deep tone like an old people, yet still sounds lively in content.
"Oh, what is this! Who would thought I'll find such a beautiful coin in a day like this! This must be my lucky day!"
"Huh" John turned to the owner of the voice and saw a an anthropomorphic green lizard, who is another one who wearing nothing a loincloth just like the goblin but he have a large backpack with him, filled with many kind of various random items, the standing out one first when looking at him would be a dozen of bottle contented colorful liquid, a in addition, i also have a waist pocket too, in a fantasy setting cartoon, people who have a backpack like this would be some kind of... A merchant?
But that's not what John decided to care about it at the moment, he freaking out when the lizardman just reached his arm into the tall grass and pulled back with a coin in his hand, the very same coin, proved by Carrie face on the coin itself.
"What the hell!?" John is very sure he look at that area while ago but find nothing, did he just really overlooked her during that time or this is some kind of stupid cartoon logic in this situation!?
"Oh man, a classic one" Said the goblin "Do you think it funny when main character trying his best to do something but then another character just randomly popping out and do what main character can't in one blink"
"What the fuck!?" Shouted John.
"What should I do with this coin? I might sale her in high price but maybe I should keep her as a token of my luckiness?" Said the lizard merchant as he slipped the coin into his waist pocket "I think I can think about what to do later, for now, *Yawn* I getting sleepy! Better find place to rest!"
"Wait!!! Hold the fuck on!!!" John shouted which helped him get the lizard's attention, because he turned to look directly as John, finally, and somehow, his attitude changed into the way merchant should do, he started bowing to John before saying...
"Hmm... Who might you be? Never fear, new face, I am Greedzard the one and only the best merchant of the ToonWorld, you are the visitor, right? I actually about to take a nap but I don't mind doing business whenever I can, what can I help you, dear visitor?"
"Oh yes, I really do! The coin you just picked up! Can I have it, that coin is actually my wife who turned into a coin by the fucking stupid goblin! And there's a time limit or she will stay as a coin forever! Please give her back before it too late!" John quickly told the merchant everything so they didn't have to engaging a long conversation just to get to the point.
"Oh my! Is that so?" Greedzard look to the goblin who still up there "Yes, he is such a troublemaker in this ToonWorld... But fear not, the permanent time limit is just a lied, he often challenged people like that and said that to make the game more serious for his own fun"
"Really? Oh thank you god!" Said John in relief.
"Yes, in the worst case, you can just go to the restoration center, nothing here permanent, that place can help you restore everything" Added the lizard.
"Oh, good to hear, so... Can I have her back now so I can go to restoration center?" Asked John
The lizardman suddenly landed a very hard punch on John gut.
"!?" John falling down on the ground, confusing what just happened.
"That's said... I refused to return such a beautiful coin like this to you, I find it on the ground, it is mine, that's the rule"
And then... John blacking out.
