You had to think of something fast. Any wrong step or moving too slow could not only cost you the stone, but be threatened by Sarah’s power. The stakes were simply too high.
Sarah stopped to think for a second. You realized that she may be trying to think of a wish that wouldn’t mess anything up. She did believe the rock was dangerous.
This gave you enough time to think of something. If you wished that you couldn’t have the stone being taken from you, then there wouldn’t be much interpretation.
“I wish that the stone can’t be taken away from me by anyone else” you quickly say, gripping your magic rock. You pray to yourself that this wish will work.
Sarah was about to speak, but then stopped. The wish must have worked. She just got more upset. You start to smile a very cocky smile.
But then she smirks. You quickly realize there is a hole in your wish. A misinterpretation that could be abused by her. She can still wish that you can’t use the stone, she just can’t take it from you.
“I wish the stone will always work when I use it” you blurted really fast.
Sarah once again tried to open her mouth, but couldn’t. It worked.
Sarah stopped smiling. There may still be holes in your defense, but Sarah couldn’t think of anything at that time. You were safe, and Sarah could do nothing to stop you. At least you thought you were safe.
You win for now, but you can’t think of another wish this time. You are clearly frustrated with Sarah, but you do remember how dangerous the rock can be.
“Fine, I’ll find another way. I have much more experience using the stone than you anyways. There is no way you can win this. In the mean time… I wish….” She started to say, with a smirk on her face.
‘Oh no,’ you think to yourself.
