After feeding her, Mrs. Moon proceeded to take Alex to her room so she could take a nap. Alex told her mother that she still didn't feel tired, so she still didn't need a nap. But her mother completely ignored her.
When Mrs. Moon placed her on her bed, Alex had an idea. She just had to pretend that she had fallen asleep so her mother could leave her alone and then when her mother left her she could try to find her cell phone so she could send a text message to her friend Samantha about what happened to her.
So quickly, Alex pretended that she had fallen completely asleep and waited a few minutes to make sure that her mother had already left her room.
After a while, she heard that the door to her room had closed and when she opened her eyes she saw that her mother was no longer in her room.
