Amanda stood up, towering over Kelly, who was still in the dollhouse. “OK, OK,” said Amanda. “That was hilarious, but let’s get you back to normal. You said your little sister had a gun?”
“Right,” said the tiny Kelly, walking out of the dollhouse, “but Megan still has it. I hope she’s not shrinking anyone down at school. We need to go get it, fast, before she does something really bad.”
“Yeah, about that,” said the giant Amanda, scratching the back of her head. “I kinda skipped school today, and if I get another unexcused absence, I’m kind of expelled. But being late is fine, just detention.”
Kelly paused. “You’re not saying you won’t…”
“Kelly, come on,” interrupted Amanda. “This is your problem, not mine. I’ll keep you safe, but let’s just deal with this after Megan comes back from school.”
“Amanda, you can’t do that!” shouted Kelly, but she suspected Amanda had already made up her mind.
