Jeff's brother suddenly had an idea. What if he filled the bucket with something else and covered the top with some of the candy?
No one would notice that anything is missing and he could just buy more candy the next day to fill it back up.
He wouldn't even be stealing the candy if he did that, just borrowing it.
It didn't take him long to put his thoughts into motion, pouring the bucket out onto the floor, before looking around Jeffs room,
searching for things he wouldn't miss until tomorrow.
He searched around the room and found several things he could use, but wasn't sure what to choose.
There were a few dirty socks and used tissues under Jeff's bed. He didn't know why they were there,
but there were enough to fill the bucket. He would've used them because he was sure they wouldn't be missed, but he felt bad about putting something dirty into the bucket that other kids would be taking candy from.
Though he could also simply wash the bucket before putting the new candy into it.
And if he did that, then he could just empty the small trash bin in Jeff's room into it.
There were also a lot of old magazines and comics in Jeff's room, but Jeff's brother was a bit apprehensive about taking them.
Jeff may rarely read them, but he might still notice if they went missing.
He wasn't sure what to choose and thought over the options again, noticing a few more things that more things he could use in the process.
There likely wasn't much time left until Jeff got back, so he decided to quickly pick something and get out with the candy.
