You wake up with a start to find that your fingertips are still glowing just like how they were in the crazy dream you just woke up from. The glowing fades rapidly, and you take a breath, looking over your hands at the same time. You think back to your dream which you still can vividly remember.
In your dream, you were able to use your hands to reshape living beings as if they were clay. And anything relavent to what you did to them, such as what kinds of clothing they wear or how they breath, would either be adjusted to fit/function with their new body shape appropriately, or would adjust to fit/function how you imagine it to. When changing a shape of something, you can add or remove mass and material wherever you need to, and can also alter its coloration and texture as you see fit. Finally, while you are "editing", time would be paused, however this could be turned on and off at will, and you can also change if the new form is considered normal or not, and by whom.
Unsure if you really saw your fingers glowing, or if you were just hallucinating it, you try to activate the power like you did in your dream. To your surprise, just as you expected, your fingers began to glow, and time slowed down to a pause around you. In the corner of your view, you could see a weird circle, and when you looked down at it, a 3D display of yourself, standing up, full sized, and very much naked, appeared, standing facing towards you in front of your bed. Their face was emotionless and not a single bit of movement could be seen on them.
"This... must be how I can make edits to myself?" You say outloud to yourself as you climb out of bed. You see how your blankets don't fall and just are left hanging in mid air since time is paused and chuckle at the craziness of this entire thing. You are very excited now that you know this is real. And you run over to your displayed self.
The moment you look directly at the display, a few icons display in your view that were not there in your dream. Looking down at them, their names pop up, indicating their functionality. Some of them were obvious too. There are the obvious "Save", "Load", "Undo", "Redo", "Cut", "Copy", "Paste", "Color/Texture", "Rotate", and "Mirror/Relfect" functions. But there are some that you are not sure about.
One of which is the "Presets" button, which you discover allows you to add in already shaped parts and features that exist already in nature, such as specific animal tails for example. Another is labeled as "Custom". Apparently this is where you can store any customizations that you make and may want to use again on something else, this includes any kind of functionality changes you make as well.
The last one is a simple toggle on/off labeled "Smart Assist". This one when on, allows you to do what you want, and the minor details will be automatically taken care of for you, such as exact alignment, smoothing, roughing up, blending, and symmetry. This is especially useful for when making things look "natural / organic", and allows for the use of sliders when dealing with certain aspects like overall height and overall weight, where there isn't necessarily just a pin point spot to change to get the desired effect.
You are quick to grasp these settings and make a save of your current self, calling it "Backup" and adding the date. Now you are eager to try out your new powers on yourself to see what you can do.
