Dave quickly scrawled out 'Alexis is happily married. She enjoys a good sex life"
"Always writing notes Dave. If you would only just listen maybe things could have turned out differently. Anyway I've told you about Justin. I'm out of here" With that she stood up and simply left the room.
Dave chased her out of the room "Alexis! Wait! How about we meet for lunch"
The whole office seemed to be staring at him. Dave was relieved that they all appeared to be their normal selves, including Janet.
Meanwhile Alexis stopped in her tracks. She turned around and glared at Dave. "Too late Dave. A year too late" She then took a few steps across to the bosses office and knocked on the door. Joe opened up.
Joe smiled when he saw Alexis. "You're here early"
Alexis fleetingly looked at Dave across the room. She then turned back to Joe who she kissed on the lips. "I couldn't wait. Are you ready to go?"
"Just a minute while I shut things down" The two of them went into Joe's office and the door was closed.
Dave just stood there dumbfounded. He glanced at Janet. "What's going on?"
"Have you forgotten? Joe's taking the rest of the day off. He's taking Alexis up to a mountain resort to celebrate thier anniversary. How romantic"
"That can't be! Alexis is happily married!"
Just then the door opened and Joe and Alexis walked out holding hands. Dave heard some of his work colleauges tell Joe "Enjoy your weekend"
Janet gave him a strange look. "Sure looks that way. Lucky girl"
Dave raced back into his office to look for his pen.
