It had been an average day at university. Amelia, as usual on mondays, went to her database management lecture and turned in her math assignment afterwards. All the while she kept to herself as usual. She didn't know a lot of people at university and didn't feel like talking to a lot of people. While most people returned to their friend group to chat about the lecture or what to do in their freetime, Amelia immediately left and went either to the library or straight back to her apartment. However, just as she was about to leave, someone interrupted her.
"Hey, Amelia, wait up a second!"
Amelia turned around and flushed. It was Mike, her crush. He always tried to look out for her, even though she was distant to everyone else. Still, he always tried to keep her company and help when she needed help. How could she not fall for him?
Overall Mike was also a fairly average guy. Black hair, blue eyes and 5"9' tall. Although he wasn't exceptionally handsome, he always had that bright and gentle aura around him that made her feel safer around him.
Amelia however, wasn't sure if he liked her that way too. After all it may just be a result of his general kindness and not be because he was talking to her.
"Oh.. uh... Hey Mike!"
"I wanted to ask if you want to come to the party this weekend. I know a lot of people are coming and you don't like that generally... But it would be great if you could come nonetheless! I would really appreciate it."
Maybe she wasn't that wrong with her judgement after all.
"I.. I'll come alright! Th- Thank you for inviting me!"
Just then, Amelia suddenly felt dizzy. Maybe it was because of the situation?
"Are you alright?"
Mike catched Amelia just before she tipped over. As she got a hold of herself, she snapped straight back up, embarrassed at the situation.
"I...I'm sorry! I will come for sure!"
"I'm happy to hear that! But are you really alright? Maybe you should go to the infirmary. Just to be safe, you know."
"I- I will! See you!"
Amelia rushed off to the infirmary, overwhelmed by positive feelings. In truth she felt alright again, but she really didn't know how to react to the situation.
