As Carl now dealt with the fact he was back in Kindergarten, Melissa now made her way towards Ethans lab; blissfully unaware of the potency of Dr. Dunn's serum. As she approached with her two compatriots, she could see evidence that Ethan had been busy.
Appriaching the lab she gasped as she noticed Gus and David make their way towards the elevator. Melissa was acquainted with the two. Gus was a young executive trying to climb the corporate ladder while David was near 4o and appeared to be stuck in professional limbo.
Where two grown men had been earlier in the day stood two teenagers, perhaps 18 or 19 years old. Gus's face appeared fresher, more youthful with the loss of a decade of age. The former adults face now ambitiously boyish, topped with thick blond hair. What surprised her though was the now teen Gus's body. While considerably younger, he appeared in much better shape. Gone was the pencil thin appearance, replaced instead by the lean muscular frame of an athlete.
David's transformation was just as astounding. While physically in better shape than Gus, he was beginning to look much older. Grey hair had begun to invade his short raven hair. Now those greys were gone. David's hair looking much healthier without a touch of grey, while his face appeared much smoother and healthier. Even David's well maintained figure looked better, Melissa seeing the now young businessman buttoned down shirt straining around his defined biceps.
As Melissa now entered the lab, she could see Ethan shaking the hand of a young teen. The boy looked around 17 or 18, his sandy brown hair full and healthy while his firm young body strained the janitors outfit he wore. As the teen now sauntered passed Melissa studied the smiling teen happily. "Did we hire a new janitor?"
"Actually," Ethan chuckled. "That was Nolan."
Melissa gasped, she knew the elderly janitor well enough. Nolan was near 70 with wispy grey and white hair. Ethan had effectively removed more than 50 years off the man and given him the kind of body most people dreamed of. "Ethan thats incredible!"
"Thank you Melissa," Ethan smiled as he turned back to his work. "I've been quite happy with Chronos results so far."
"And thats why I came to talk with you," Melissa stated. "I was curious if you had any other test subjects in mind?" Ethan paused, a small smirk spreading across his face as he turned to Melissa and her companions.
"Let me guess," he said. "You three?"
Melissa nodded, as a woman in her 50s now stepped forward. "Well Ethan," she said. "It is the chance of a lifetime."
Ethan nodded studying the woman carefully. Carolyn was in her early 50s and in the legal department of the company. Ethan had known the woman for over 15 years at this point. He had heard that in her youth she had been quite attractive but time was now beginning to take its toll. Carolyn's blond hair was now dull, pulled into a bun with several greys poking through. Ethan could tell that for an older woman she was still quite a catch, yet he was curious just how attractive she could be if the bags under her eyes and crows feet could be eliminated, not to mention her large D cup breasts becoming firmer once again.
"Plus," Carolyn stated. "I can assure you that if you only test the formula on males their will be hard feelings from the female staff. I'm sure the last thing any of us want is a discrimination lawsuit, right Ethan?"
Ethan laughed softly, nodding to Carolyn's statement. While he wished to test the serum on women, he hadn't found the right candidates yet. Now, it appeared he had at least two teat subjects. "And I'm guessing you and Melissa would gratefully volunteer," he said, to which the two nodded.
Ethan now turned towards the third woman, a 40 year old secretary named Erica who was friends with Melissa. "And what about you," Ethan asked. "Erica am I right?"
Erica nodded, pushing a stray brown hair behind her ear. "Well Dr. Dunn," she said. "When Melissa told me about all this I thought it was crazy."
"And now?"
"I would absolutely love to take part in the experiment," she exclaimed. "I mean, it's an opportunity to be young again. A second chance to fix the mistakes of the past."
"And what mistakes would you fix Erica?"
"I certainly would have applied myself more in my schooling," she said. "I've always felt I wasted my college years. Its been a wish of mine to go back. To erase those regrets. To, well, make better choices. Get a better career for myself. To be, well, better."
Ethan nodded, Erica was perfect. A woman who had regrets from her youth and would be willing to undergo the experiment with hopes of making a better life for herself.
Ethan now clapped his hands together, a wide smile forming on his face. "Ladies right this way," he grinned. "If you just give me a moment to prepare the serum than we can begin."
