"Listen, Karl, I'm really sorry that I lost Chad. And you really seem like a great guy," Dylan said shifting his feet. Then with renewed resolve, a bulge growing in his crotch continued, "I would like to try to make amends. How about dinner? Are you free tonight?"
"Tm free all night," Karl said smiling while staring at Dylan's bulge, "Come over after 5pm, we can order out."
"Better yet, I'll bring dinner," Dylan offered brightly.
After Karl left the veterinary clinic, he checked the GPS, and grinned as he looked at the nearby lawn ornament filled yard. There was the basalt black pug.
Chad had thought he had escaped when Dylan ran past him. But now Karl was staring right at him. Karl walked toward him, stooped down and picked him up.
