"Prince Wyatt a moment?"
Wyatt turned, somewhat befuddled to be referred to as a prince as Donovan now gazed at him. "Who me?"
"As Lord Miro's adopted son that would make you a prince," Donovan stated. Wyatt was taken aback. In only a matter of weeks he had gone from just another guy in high school to the Prince of the Vampire Nation. "Yes Donovan what is it," Wyatt stammered.
"While your father is entertaining himself the generals are having a meeting," Donovan said. "Since our Lord trusts you, it would be prudent to attend. Leave your mistress behind and follow me."
Wyatt glanced towards Kyra, his vampiric wife none to pleased with being referred to as a mistress. Fortunately, Wyatt was prepared. "I have named Kyra as my hand Donovan," he said quickly. "She will need to be by my side for this meeting."
Donovan rubbed his chin, an astonished look on the thin vampire face. Slowly je now grinned. "I see you have been familiarizing yourself with our culture young Wyatt," he stated. "Impressive." Donovan now turned to Kyra, bowing slightly. "My apologies Madame Kyra you are more than welcome to attend."
As Wyatt and Kyra now followed Donovan, they couldn't help but marvel at their situation. From high school nobodies to vampire leadership. As the teenage Wyatt glanced at Kyra he could tell she was amazed by the fact as well. Couple that with the fact he had included her in his rise to power and he was certain they would be making love from sun up to sundown.
As the two now entered a small meeting room, Wyatt glanced at the other vampires present. Ken of the Five sat patiently with Natalia while the hulking vampire Hannibal glowered at the trio. "Be seated Prince Wyatt," Hannibal said, his voice deep and foreboding. Wyatt and Kyra did as they were told as Donovan and Hannibal stood before the small gathering.
"Since our arrival," Donovan stated. "Our mission has remained the same. Lord Miro desires to strengthen our nation by bringing a wizard or wizards into the fold. As such, we have made attempts at increasing our numbers while addressing unforeseen interruptions."
"Such as the Morelands," Ken stated.
"The Morelands have been troublesome yes," Hannibal stated. "However, I believe Ken and Ann have effectively neutralized Jacob Moreland."
"Speaking of Ann," Kyra asked. "Where is she? Also, shouldn't we wait for Duncan and Cassidy?"
"Ann's talents lie outside of strategy," Hannibal grinned. "As far as Duncan and Cassidy are concerned we will catch them up at a later time. For now, I wish to show you this." Hannibal now brought an image from a laptop up on a large monitor.
"Since our arrival I have had my familiar, Dominique, infiltrate the Wexton Corporation. A large MNC with interests in biomedical, technology, and venture capital. Dominique was able to gain a position with human resources. Since then I have had her comb through files trying to find any possible information on the wizards."
"What makes you think the wizards are connected to this corporation," Wyatt asked.
"They were there during the war," Selene stated. "I saw them with my own eyes."
"What did you discover," Natalia asked. Hannibal now grinned as he now brought up the image of a blonde woman in her 40s.
"Not what but who."
Hannibal now explained to the assembled generals Ann O'Toole. Ann was the elder sister of Lisa Turner, the mother of both Gloria Turner, Katie Carlson, and Lynne Turner. Ann also had a connection to a girl who had interned over the summer named Jackie Kirkman. Quickly the generals realized this woman knew several wizards and was even relates to a few.
"So what are you proposing Hannibal," Ken asked. "Do you wish to kidnap this woman, use her as a bargaining chip?"
"No that wouldn't be prudent," Donovan replied. "But we could use her to discern the movements of the wizards."
"Still from what I've seen the wizards are always together," Natalia added. "Besides, making a move against the two eldest is a fools errand."
"But we could take the child," Selene said. "We do not believe Ann or her sister have magic."
"If we were to take the child though we would have to be fast," Kyra mused. "Or have everyone distracted."
Wyatt eyes now flew open as an idea sprang to his mind. "I have an idea," he exclaimed. Wyatt now faced Hannibal and Donovan as he asked his next question. "Does my father still want Duke back?"
"Your father does," Donovan said quietly. "He wishes to punish him for his failures."
Wyatt nodded, smiling at Kyra as he spoke. "Prom."
"Prom," Kyra asked.
"Think about it," Wyatt stated. "The Prom committee determines were the prom is to be held. If we were on the committee, we could..."
"Set a trap and kidnap Duke," Kyra gasped. "Wyatt thats brilliant."
Donovan rubbed his chin as a smile began to form. "Distract our enemies, lure them into an area we are familiar with and attack. Well done young Prince."
"So when is this prom," Hannibal asked.
"In the spring," Wyatt stated. "Kyra, Cassidy, and myself will return to the school and join the prom committee. We'll find an area far enough away from the children so that we can take Duke and the children before the wizards know what happened."
"Its settled then," Ken stated. "Come spring we will make our move."
"Until then may I suggest letting the lesser vampires among us continue to attack," Selwne offered. "In order to keep the wizards and hunters preoccupied."
"Yes," Wyatt stated. "In fact, have them attack higher profile individuals in other towns and cities in order to thin their ranks."
"While we strengthen our own ranks under their radar," Natalia grinned. "You do have a mind for tactics young prince."
"So be it," Donavan said. "We have several months to execute this plan. For now we will continue to monitor the wizards as we strengthen our numbers."
As the meeting now adjourned, Kyra embraced Wyatt, lustfully kissing him. "You were great babe," she purred.
"Just wait and see what I have in store for you in our bedroom," he grinned as the two made their way to his bedroom.
