Chad held the tags in his hands. He was never into the army stuff. He thought that was for weirdos and guys with sticks up their asses. Chad put the tags, back in the box and headed to class. During the class, Chad started to pay attention to what the teacher was saying. He had his full attention, he even raised his hands and answered the questions and they weren't joke answers. Ben, his friend and teammate asked if he was okay.
Usually Chad was ignoring the class and cutting up in the back with Ben.
Chad said he was good and returned his attention to his teacher. After class Ben met up with Chad when did you start caring you know Coach would have made sure your grades were good and that he didn't need to pretend to care. Chad just shrugged him off and head to his n xt class again he was at full attention. His teachers were shocked to, they knew Chad was a cut up who got his way cause he was coach Sinclair's star player. Now he was actually pay attention In class. Something was up.
In the teacher lounge,Dan Stuart asked coach Sinclair if something was up. Sinclair said Chad was normal maybe the automatic C's, I get him wasn't good enough and he wanted to do better. Although Sinclair agreed it was a wei d turn around.
Chad last class was weight training. When got there he started with the weight bar was doing his usual reps nothing seemed off, except for the fact he wasn't joking with the other boys he was focused on his weight lifting. After school was supposed to go to practice but he never showed up.
He had gone to the field house and hid until he was completely alone he pull out the box with the Dogtags and held them out. A voice in his head told him to stand completely still still, calling him soldier.
He told Chad that he no longer cared for sports he only goes to the gym to become a muscle soldier. That he would be at full attention in all his classes. Calling anyone who has authority over him Sir or ma'am. That he only wore cargo pants, tight black shirts, and army boots unless otherwise told be his commanding officer who he would meet on Monday and his last order was to shave his head in devotion to his commanding officer.
