Their final changes were about to take hold as their station wagon drove past some wild foxes. Thousands on thousands of bright red hairs began to sprout from their skin, the same sort of red that would bring to mind a fox. Their arms and legs sprouted black fur as their hands became padded and their feet morphed into digitigrade paws. Cream colored fur grew along their round bellies as their ears migrated up their head and turned a distinctly triangular shape. Noses and mouths stretched forward and teeth sharpened to a point, becoming muzzles that wiggled as they sniffed at the air. The final change came in the form of a long, silky, luxurious tail, a beautiful red with a creamy tip.
The Eversons had become a family of foxes. A foxy family of monobutts if ever there was one.
The old station wagon drove a few miles more as each member of the family developed their own individual changes. Henry’s muzzle twitched as long brown whiskers sprouted from it. The whiskers came in thick and luxurious, forming a handsome handlebar mustache. Linda massaged her chest as her wobbling breasts began to swell and strain against her shirt. Her cleavage forced its way out of the v-neck shirt, squeezed against the hem of the neck hole and overflowing slightly. Her nipples started to lactate and slightly stained her shirt. Debra’s body underwent a similar amount of extra chest growth, although her’s didn’t lactate at all. They sloshed and jiggled with every bounce of the car, threatening to flop out of her strained top. Rick and Sam’s transformation was less obvious. The twin boys felt a violent gurgling in their guts, filling up with a potent gas that only 13 year old boys could produce.
“Hey, hey Debby!” Rick teased their sister.
“Hey Debby, guess what!” Sam added.
“You’d better not with Mom and Dad in here,” Debra tried to scold. Her threat fell on deaf ears and both boys simultaneously ripped out a five-second-long foghorn. Debra was choking on the noxious fumes only seconds later, while her brothers laughed like hyenas.
“Phew! That’s ripe!” Henry chuckled, fanning the boy’s stank away from his nose, “You two foxes or skunks? That was rank!”
“Dear, please don’t encourage them?” Linda sighed, “They’re torturing poor Debby.”
“Alright,” Henry acquiesced, “Let’s knock it off until we get to the next stop, okay boys?”
“Okay Dad!” Rick and Sam answered at the same time.
“Thank you, Papa,” Debra thanked her father.
“Seriously though,” Linda said, “Those two have got to be the gassiest out of all of us. They had to have gotten it from your side, Henry. No one I know of in my family farts as much as our boys, or your brother.”
“Heh, classic Joe,” Henry chuckled, “At least they haven’t eaten anything they’re allergic to. They swell up like a balloon and their gas gets worse! It’s nuts!”
“You say that like we don’t already know, Dad,” Debra said, “Monobutts swell up when we have food allergies. That’s monobutt 101! I hope we get to the stop soon. I’m starving and I think I sat on my tail funny. Plus I have to text my friends the pictures of the wild ferals we saw! They were so cute! Almost hard to believe that we evolved from those critters.”
“I don’t think it’ll be too long,” Linda assured her teenage daughter, “and yes they were so cute, weren’t they!”
The station wagon turned off of the main road and towards a small rest-stop area. It had a family style restaurant, a renovated gas station and convenience store, and a little motel that advertised air-conditioning as a selling point. What to do first?
