Gloria grunted in annoyance as she now placed all of Morgans belongings on a chair. As Caleb now followed behind holding Morgan, Gloria slammed the door.
"Whos that," Lisa called from upstairs.
"Just me mom," Gloria replied. "Sorry, my dates canceled. I forgot I told Katie I would babysit."
Lisa now made her way downstairs, giving Gloria, Morgan, and Caleb a small smile. "Its okay Gloria I get it," Lisa smirked. "I remember losing out on dates when Katie was that age." Lisa now approached, smiling as she ran a hand through Morgans hair. "Hi sweetheart Grandma missed you."
Morgan giggled, throwing her arms around Lisa. "Well good news Caleb is that Morgan is an absolute doll she shouldn't be too much trouble." The sound of a little girl now screaming and running upstairs caused Lisa to sigh heavily. "Unlike another little girl that won't take a bath."
As Lisa now made her way upstairs, Caleb watched as Morgan made her way into the living room. The child now waved her hand, the T.V. now turning on as a Disney show began to play.
"Wait Morgan knows magic," Caleb asked.
Gloria nodded as she and Caleb now sat down. "Yeah," Gloria said. "Pretty much all the kids have magic. Morgan, my sister Lynne, all of them."
Caleb simply nodded as he watched the happy toddler sing along to her cartoons. "How old is Morgan anyway?"
"She's two," Gloria replied. "She turns three in February."
"And your sister Katie is what six years older than you," Caleb asked, to which Gloria nodded. "Wow, what were they in college when they got pregnant?"
"Morgans adopted," Gloria said quietly.
"So they adopted her while they were in college," Caleb replied in alarm.
Gloria now blushed slightly, rubbing the back of her neck. "They um kinda had no choice," she replied meekly. "They're the reason Morgan is the uh way she is."
Caleb raised an eyebrow as Gloria now shifted about nervously. "Okay spill it," Caleb stated. "What happened?"
Gloria sighed, rubbing her eyes as she now glanced at her boyfriend. "Okay don't freak out."
"Telling someone not to freak out is the quickest way to get someone to freak out."
"You want to hear the story or not," Gloria frowned. Caleb nodded, folding his arms as he leaned back on the couch.
"Okay," Gloria started. "So Freshman year Katie gave me the Ring of Age. Everything was cool until an all powerful evil sorceress showed up and tried to take out me and Katie."
"Who?"
"Morgan Lefay," Gloria said. "Mind you we didn't know about that at first. We didn't really know about it until my sister Lynne showed up from the future. Plus Katie's mom from an alternate timeline."
"Time travel? Alternate timelines?!"
"So anyway," Gloria continued. "We were able to put things together. Eventually we found out Morgan was going after Katie at college. She was trying to get Katie and Kellie to fight. Hoping they would cause the timeline to splinter. I don't know how it would have worked to be honest but that was her plan."
"Okay," Caleb replied slowly.
"So we ended up going to Katie's College with my Aunt Kellie," Gloria said. "You know the one from the alternate timeline. Anyway we end up in a huge magical battle with Morgan Lefay. She decided she was just going to kill everyone and destroy the world or something. We end up in a magical battle of wills and poof we win."
"So how does Morgan fit into this?"
"Well," Gloria replied sheepishly. "The spell she cast and we cast backfired against her. Morgan Lefay got...um...deaged...into Morgan."
Calebs eyes went wide as he looked between Gloria and the two year old blonde girl singing along to Frozen. "Are you telling me that little girl is Morgan LeFay? THE Morgan Lefay!"
"Yep that her," Gloria stated. "And its Morgan Carlson now, not Morgan Lefay. She doesn't remember being that Morgan."
Caleb stared slack jawed at his girlfriend, still befuddled beyond words. "Anything else?"
"Well we also fought Lilith, Circe, and Baba Yaga," she added. "But things have mellowed between us. Lilith is actually my Uncle Jacks mom, who is Katie's dad. Also Merlin is Kellie, Katie's mom, dad, so I guess that would make him like a grandfather to me."
Caleb just stared wide eyed at his girlfriend unable to come up with a response.
"Also Villar the guy from last year. He was Katie's baby brother in a different timeline, so I guess that would make him my half brother. It took me a year to kinda wrap my mind around that."
"Can I get some water," Caleb asked weakly. "Or booze? Lots and lots of booze?"
"Yeah," Gloria said sheepishly. "I'm..um...complicated. Please don't freak out."
Caleb forced a smile, placing a gentle kiss on Gloria's cheek. "Its fine Gloria," he sighed. "Its alot to take in yeah but, I'm not going anywhere." Gloria smiled snuggling into her boyfriend as the two now watched Morgan.
"Alternate timelines?"
"I'll explain it later Caleb."
