Using whatever strength he had left in him, Josh pulled his underwear off and crawled away from the panther woman that was busy cleaning herself. He fought his tendencies and his weakness to crawl across the ground, completely naked, to the barricade. With the last of his strength sapped, he fell to the ground, his vision fading fast. The last thing he saw was a soldier firing in the direction he came from and a hand reaching out to him, and then he faded to black.
Josh woke up to find himself strapped to a table, a gown covering him, and an oxygen mask to his face. He picked his head up to survey the room, he looked like he was in a hospital room. Being strapped down, he couldn’t move his arms or legs, so all he could do was move his head and neck around to see. As far as he could see and feel, he was still normal, albeit chilly. Just when he thought to question his situation, a door opened up in the room. A feminine voice spoke out to him, “And how is our patient doing?” She sounded like she was in her 20s, without a noticeable accent, it was hard to place her anywhere.
