"W-what did you do to me?" Jake beseeched the mirror, noting that his voice was deeper than it was before. Mind you, Jake wasn't complaining. He finally didn't look like a kid anymore, but the implications around this concerned him. His reflection once again became out of sync with his movements, indicating that the magic mirror had returned. This time he was staring at Jake in a thinker pose.
"Oh, sorry. I wasn't done yet. Just taking a minute to look over my work and decide to go from here." Jake's reflection again returned to normal, and before Jake could react, the familiar pain overtook him again. This time, however, Jake not only grew taller but wider as muscle began to puff out all over his body.
"Argggggg." Jake cried out. His voice dropped another octave in the middle of the scream. At the same time, a strong six-pack formed on his stomach. The sound of ripping fabric could be heard throughout the room. Jake looked down to see that his shirt was getting shredded apart by his growing chest, back, and shoulders. It wasn't long before his shirt was just fabric scraps on the ground; his pants followed suit as they lost the battle to Jake's bulking-up legs. All that was left of his clothing was a pair of briefs that somehow managed to hold on to dear life. The pain then reached his face as he felt the bones in his face sharpening. The peach fuzz on his face hardened to manly stubble.
Finally, it was over and left Jake panting on all fours. Once he finally caught his breath, Jake looked up and was shocked when he saw the young man in the mirror staring back at him. He was an adult now, around 21 if he had to guess, and a good-looking one at that. However, before he could even get a good look at himself, Reflection-Jake appeared once more.
"You wished for your mother to not treat you like a kid anymore,
and I don't believe she will now that you're an adult. I have to say, this might be one of my best works yet," the Magic Mirror chuckled. "So, any more wishes?" That was a good question. Did Jake have any more wishes he wanted to make? Was growing older the "cost" he had to pay for his wish, or was this part of the wish and the Magic Mirror changed something else? If it was the price, could he wish for something else to return to being a kid again, or was he stuck like this?
It was strange that Jake was thinking of all these consequences now, though. Was this the work of his adult brain? Well, maybe it wasn't quite as mature as he guessed as a funny thought popped into his head, and he decided to run with it.
"I wish that you could manifest a human form!" Jake blurted out. The magic mirror was taken aback by the odd wish. For a second, all it could do was blink.
"W-what? What do you mean?" Reflection-Jake finally asked after a little while.
"Well, you just seemed lonely being stuck in one place for so long. So, I thought it would be nice for you to get out of your mirror every once in a while. Oh, and you can't grant wishes unless you return to the mirror." Thought this wasn't a completely selfless wish. Jake figured that if he was nice to the mirror, it would be nice back to him.
The Magic Mirror was shocked. No one ever wished for something like this, and honestly, it wasn't sure if it could grant a wish like that. After all, it never got a wish request like that before. Should it even try, or should it try to convince Jake to make another wish? What a strange situation it found itself in.
