"S", "T", "A", "C", "Y" went the 5 dice Stacy threw and then Stacy said "but I'm Steven not Stacy..." and then heard her voice was more high pitched. She was also wearing a rather frilly dress.
Her caretaker stated "Starting through a tomboy phase Stacy? Still it's quite remarkable that the dice were able to land with the right letters in the right sequence. I suppose they do work." Stacy tried rearranging the dice so now they spelled Steve, but nothing happened especially since the caretaker said "I don't think it works that way Stacy." Stacy thought about asking the dice if he was a boy with 3 letters and then remembered on the commercial that the dice could reply with a nah.
Thinking she was outsmarting the dice Stacy grabbed 2 and asked "Am I a girl?" and the dice finished rolling "S" and "I" Stacy was confused
Her caretaker stated "Interesting, they can respond with other languages." Stacy kept trying to outsmart the dice with certain questions with only so many dice, but being a 7 year old Stacy was not outsmarting magic dice who had Stacy be a girl and didn't enjoy Stacy trying to turn back so fast. This had upsetted Stacy. Not because she didn't want to be a girl, but because she hadn't expected she'd become a girl and Stacy wanted to be a boy because the dice had made her a girl. And Stacy always got her way. Pouting while staring at the dice her caretaker went off to start making supper giving Stacy. Stacy asked the dice "What do you want?" and as the dice stopped rolling a few landed together "Have" and "Fun". Stacy raised her eyebrow not sure if the dice actually had any agency or personality, but the dice wanted to have fun? She guessed that made some sort of sense since these were magic dice that seemed to change reality, and undoing their change so fast would in fact not be very fun. Stacy thought for a second and decided on her next question and what dice to use.
