The man happens to have a plastic bag in his car. He fills it with seawater and holds it open for the frog captain to drop you in, which he does. You try to climb out, but you can't get any grip on the plastic. It's useless anyway, because the man quickly squeezes most of the air out and ties off the top. Now you're trapped in a bubble of water, your view of the outside world distorted by the plastic around you. The frog is right: the last time you bought a goldfish from the pet shop, you took it home in a plastic bag just like this. How could you have imagined you'd one day be a tiny mermaid in the same situation?
You wonder how much oxygen is in the water you're breathing now.
You see motion outside and your stomach jumps as your temporary home is tossed into the passenger seat. The man takes his seat and pulls out of the parking lot.
You consider trying to tear a hole in the plastic, but what would you do then? You're still trapped in this car, increasingly far from the ocean.
