Natalia and Reiko had decided to split up together and were investigating one of the offices that had a large office window that went from the ceiling to the floor.
"Wow, would you look at that, it really is going to be a white Christmas this year." Reiko sighed in awe.
"Aye, last time I saw anything like this, I was at that damn church. Damn accent, I hate it." Natalia said as she looked under an office desk for Lynne to no avail.
"I don't get it Natalia, why are you so ashamed of your past?" Reiko asked.
Natalia knew she couldn't dare tell her she was a vampire, but she decided to tell her about the church she was raised or forced into at least.
"When I was... the age I am now, my parents didn't think they could raise me right, so they dropped me off at some dumb old church with those old nuns that are always by the book. It was years before I actually got out and found my family again. When I see myself at this age again, I'm just reminded of how cruel people of god can be to someone who is....'nothing but a sin against god'." Natalia said as if memorized.
Reiko thought back to when she was this age as well and how not only her parents but other classmates might have shamed her for feeling the way she did back then. Reiko had hidden that part of herself away for almost two decades of her life, she kept it hidden for so long that no one in her family noticed whenever she would she a woman her age and stare at her for longer than she should have, or seen younger girls like her daughter or one of her friends and thought, "why didn't I come through sooner".
"My parents, would never have understood me if I had come out to them as bisexual. They were too focused on doing things the old fashioned way that if I were to tell them who I really was back then, they would've had a priest come to me as if I had a devil inside of me and perform an exorcism."
Reiko and Natalia both became 13 again as Reiko held Natalia's hands in hers and looked into her eyes.
"Nat, Natalia, we are not a so called 'sin against god', if god didn't want us here, then why are we? I'm proud to be someone who loves men and women. I...I...love you Natalia, I don't care....what my parents say about me." Reiko said as her teenage mind once again began to take over.
"Reiko, we're supposed to be...we're supposed to....uh...what were we supposed to be doing again?" Natalia asked feeling just as confused now.
"I think...we know, what we're doing, Natalia." Reiko said giving a little smile.
Reiko and Natalia both looked up to see a mistletoe hanging above them and blushed.
"Well...it is...the holiday season."
"Merry Christmas, my radiant, Reiko."
"Merry Christmas lovely Natalia."
Reiko and Natalia both then kissed each other on the lips and locked themselves the office completely forgetting the situation they were in and could now only focus on each other. Now they could only remember being friends, now girlfriends once again, in the Christmas season.
It was now up to the others to find Lynne with Reiko and Natalia being taken out of the picture.
