Fun with Animated Movies

added by PresetWizard A year ago AR BM I S

"Um...let's watch a movie," Amy said. It seemed like the least dangerous of the options. She could easily see how playing house or dress up could go wrong with magical powers, but movies were her go-to when it came to babysitting. She loved to just plop them in front of the television and let it take care of the kids for her. The colorful characters and lowest common denominator jokes usually kept them engaged.

Olivia and Marnie practically squealed, and even Bobby climbed down off of his sister's neck to throw a little dance party of his own. It would've been cute if she weren't still smaller than them. Speaking of which...

"I'm happy that you're all happy, but can you change me back? Please..?" She didn't want to spend a single extra second as a five year old kid if she didn't have to. And that breeze was really unpleasant. "Failing that, can I at least get some clothes that fit?" She said, indicating the sweater draped over her knees like a dress.

Olivia shook her head. "No, not yet! You haven't had fun like this yet! But we can fix your clothes. Right, Marnie?" The six year old nodded, pointing a finger at Amy. Images of her phone being transformed into a cookie and then devoured right before her eyes flashed through her mind, although they were quickly washed away by the strange tingling sensation her sweater was giving off. The blue top shimmered and twisted, splitting into two as the top part became a pink, printed t-shirt and the bottom became a pair of shorts and bright yellow slippers. The only trace of the sweater's original color scheme was as a part of the socks, a soft pastel blue that was strangely comforting in the disconcerting situation she found herself in.

The girls looked positively ecstatic. Olivia especially. "Ohhh, you look so cute!" She squealed. Before Amy could properly react, the girls and Bobby had her wrapped up tightly in a hug. It was weird to know that Olivia had to crouch down slightly to get her arms around her former babysitter. Amy's face flushed with embarrassment.

"Okay, let's watch a movie! We've got Diznie Max, so we can watch anything we want!"

"I want to watch Frosted!" Marnie exclaimed. Olivia shook her head. "What about Sadie and Ritch?"

Bobby piped up too, and ended the conversation in the process, "Booga, Booga, Booga!" He cried, jumping up and down. Amy faintly recognized the name from a popular, recently released Diznie film...The Monkey Princess, that was it. Booga was the funny animal companion to the titular princess. He was, of course, a monkey. The princess wasn't, funnily enough-- she just had a really good relationship with jungle animals.

"That sounds okay to me," she said by way of agreement, just to move things along. The sooner these kids got to watching their movie, the sooner she'd get back to normal. The kids seemed to accept the majority rule, as they swept into the luscious, handsomely-decorated living room soon after she'd spoken. She followed after them uncertainly, her tiny limbs still awkward and foreign to her in their movments. They already had the movie started by the time she sat down next to Marnie on the couch. She had to hop up several times to settle into the leather sofa.

The movie was a pleasant enough experience, although the kids were off the wall excited as they watched the events play out, despite the fact that they must have seen it before. Olivia oohed and aah-ed every single time Princess Selena was on screen, and Bobby practically hopped out of his seat every time Booga did something funny. Marnie was a bit quieter, but she got notably more excited every time the villain, a rotund witch by the name of Melvissa did something evil. How strange. Amy would've never called something like that.

Her pleasant, dream-like watching of the movie was brought to a screeching halt when the kids broke out into an argument. The movie was frozen on a frame where all three of their favorite characters were similarly about to go to blows, the Princess and Booga on one side, Melvissa ready to cast a spell on the other.

"I want to talk to Selena!" Olivia screeched so loud it made Amy's ears hurt.

"But we haven't talked to Melvissa in so long," Marnie pointed out, head bowed.

"Booga, Booga, Booga!" Bobby repeated relentlessly. The argument went on and on just like that until Olivia noticed that Amy was paying attention to them.

"I know! Why don't you choose, Amy? Who should we bring to life?"

Amy had the distinct feeling she wasn't gonna like what happened no matter who she chose, but it was yet another thing for her to choose. Maybe if she chose correctly and made them happy, they'd change her back right away. It was a pipe dream, but those were all she really had at this point.
