Finishing up her cake, Dani sat back and looked around. Using her new connection, she scanned everything, every book in the shelf, every article of clothing in her drawers, even the dishes she had just brought in. Having entered "her space," they apparently counted as hers until she took them back out.
Experimentally, she shifted the plate back and forth on the desk, flipped through some books, and made her bed, all without using her hands. Like with the chair, it felt effortless. Instead of just shoving objects in a chosen direction like some kind of movie poltergeist, she had full control of their movement.
"Okay," she muttered, getting up and standing in the middle of the room. "I admit this is a little cool."
Closing her eyes, she let her awareness expand to the entire room. Then, she began rearranging everything. Furniture shifted across the floor. Posters slid to different walls. Opening her eyes again, she smiled. All her possessions, while still the same, all sat in new places making the room feel totally new.
Suddenly, she heard someone knock.
