It was breathtaking beautiful; it wasn’t what he had expected to see. Instead of some small pottery set or maybe some jewels it was a set of armor. It was only from the waste up and lacked multiple jewels or even a whole lot of gold, but it spoke to him.
It was clearly made for a female and was heavily inspired by Greek armor or had the Greeks been inspired by them.
It was a corset with shinny bronze on either side of a center golden strip that went up to the breast line area. The bronze went up to cover the breasts of the dummy which wore the armor raising up to points which touched a golden neck piece but left open what best could be said to be a boob window. The neck piece was golden with a single bright green jewel of some kind in the lower center and went almost to the jaw line of the dummy. A simple bronze and gold color crown sat on the dummy’s head, it lacked any jewels but gave off a really regal look. It had golden chains on either side which hung down to about ear height and had two small green jewels on it like ear rings. The shoulders of the dummy where bare but starting at the elbow of the dummy where bronze arm guards held down with black fabric.
“This set of armor, is believed to have been worn by members of the palace guards to the royal family of the lost city.” Stated the worker “It is in amazing condition and there is more….”
The workers then pulled off two more sheets, showing a bronze shield and a short spear which clearly matched the armor.
“This is a lot of set, the armor, shield and spear can be yours for a low price of 15,000 us dollars.” started the worker before “Do I hear $15,000.”
“15, for an unfinished armor, they must be kidding.” Whispered a nearby bidder to another
“That is why the bundled it with the spear and shield.” Added the one they had spoken for.
“Some have theorized that this armor could actually be the armor worn by the younger daughters of the royal family who went into the military.” Yelled the auctioneer to drum up support, but everyone heard what he didn’t say. That they had no proof, and this could have been armor worn by a single female guard and their could be hundreds of them still left to be found.
