Kaitlin was bored, the movie was boring and she found the actors bad, it would have been so much more fun to be in front of a scary movie, to see Laura's face at each jumpscare would have been priceless.
Laura, on the other hand, was having a great time, she was immersed in the movie and imagined herself to be in the place of one of the characters....Too attentive to the movie and eating her popcorns, she didn't see her friend on her right grabbing the die.
"So Laura, let's see if you're lucky again this time." Kaitlin thought wickedly, and threw the die on the floor.
"twenty-seven years you have walked this earth. Now this number is but twenty-one. Each roll of the dice shall return more of what has been lost."
Laura, who had been looking forward to the outcome of a very dramatic scene, snapped out of it as she heard the voice and turned to see a Kaitlin with a mischievous smile on her face.
So far Laura had only felt positive effects, this time the effects would be less so. Laura could feel every part of her body slimming down and even some parts shrinking, her breasts toning up while becoming less imposing, her hips losing mass which had the effect of making her pants loose. The sensation of feeling her satin shirt sagging over her shoulders and becoming looser on her slim body was disconcerting, she felt less and less comfortable in her seat.
"So Laura, is everything okay?" Kaitlin said with a very mocking look on her face.
"Congratulations Kaitlin, now you're not the only one to enter the university, are you happy?" Laura answered while remaining serene.
"I don't know, maybe another roll? Who knows, maybe you'll only lose a year." Said Kaitlin as she picked up the die.
"Kaitlin no!" Laura stood up, holding her pants in one hand to keep them from sliding too far down her diminished curves. "Look I'm skinny enough as it is!"
"Relax Laura it was a joke, far be it from me to have to babysit my best friend." Kaitlin reassured.
"You're forgetting that I have your die too."
"That's right."
"I think the movie's ending," Laura quipped. "Let's go."
"It's not like it's interesting anyway," Kaitlin said.
"It was before you play the kid" Laura replied and Kaitlin giggled at the last comment.
"I was actually expecting worse than this, I mean I thought being in my early twenties would be complicated but I'm actually okay and my clothes still fit me with a bit of readjustment , but most of all I feel energized like I could run a marathon." Laura said as she adjusted her clothes.
"Yeah it's not so bad indeed, I feels more free."
As the two girls exited the room, they glanced as if flirting with the boy they had seen earlier which made him slightly uncomfortable, and both girls laughed.
"It's getting late, maybe we should go home and look for the store in the morning?" Laura suggested.
"Oooooooor, we could party until we're completely drunk!" Kaitlin said enthusiastically.
"Um I don't think that's a good idea-"
"Stop now! We're college girls now so we're allowed to let loose! Come on Laura put this magic store thing aside and let's go have some fun!"
"I have a bad feeling about this but you're right why not enjoy it after all
