Kevin hurriedly passed down the corridors of the 'blockchain' of rooms. He needed to find his phone, find an exit.
The look of Brandon's face melting from lucid concern to pure pleasure played on loop through his head. It was wrong, unnatural. The guy was losing himself to the....pleasures of these new forms losing himself to the frat. Kevin knew he was losing himself too. Each day his personality and desires shifted more.
"Fuck this shit" came a voice from one of the rooms. Pausing, Kevin peered inside. Before a mirror stood a naked Sam. At his feet, sat a rumpled drugrug. Sam's hands traced down his torso as his eyes studied himself. Kevin couldn't help but notice he seemed less muscular since they'd last spoken. His twinkish form was starting to emerge.
Hearing Kevin, Sam turned.
"Dude I'm changing- I-I don't want to be some gay monkey"
"Same, but I don't know how to stop it. I don't even know anything about this company that made the blockchain. What's their end game?"
"I can't tell you much dude, but I can say they are both smart and they are working fast. You know those bios on our profiles?" Sam opened the NFT app on his phone, pulling his own up for demonstration. "It's not that we just 'missed' them when we signed up. They weren't there before. The app's been updating itself with new features, adding more to the 'experience' even within the past few days. And that's not the only change, there's this new announcement feature. Marcus blasted out a message earlier this afternoon. He's trying to organize some sort of 'beer Olympics' this evening. A collection of drinking games I guess."
So that's the 'games' Marcus had referred to earlier. Kevin had totally missed this announcement.
"This company's got some committed programmers on their staff. they know what they are doing and know what 'changes' they want in us. To tell you the truth, I'm finding it harder and harder to motivate myself to find a way out. There's a part of me that just wants to throw on my drug rug and just...chill"
"So what do you propose we do?"
"The games" he replied "We need to get everyone in the same room and explain the situation. If we all work together, maybe we can find a way out. I'm busy fighting becoming more 'chill' while I've noticed you're not as sharp as you once were. Some of the others must be changing in an opposite way. Becoming more confident, smarter, motivated."
Kevin's mind went to Marcus. He certainly met those criteria, yet Kevin was unsure Marcus even wanted to escape. In here the man was dominant, self-assured, and ....hotter than ever. Kevin also couldn't help but wonder whether or not he was willing to escape if Marcus decided to embrace the changes and stay. He felt like ultimately, he may have to choose between his human life with Samantha or embracing the ape within him and joining Marcus. A question, he decided, he'd leave for later.
"....If we can team up with someone like that, I think we have a shot of getting out, or at least contacting someone on the outside"
"Ok. You've convinced me. I've got a girlfriend to return to and well, I'm not too keen on growing any more fur." Kevin said with a slight grin."
"It's a plan. Tonight, at the games, we'll convince the others, build a squad and work on getting out. We need to get them on our side by any means necessary"
Kevin couldn't help but speculate what 'any means' would require in the context of a horny ape frat.
The thought, however, was interrupted as Sam's phone pinged.
"Huh a notification from the developers, there's a new update." He read aloud. Clicking on the notification, he opened a message"
"We at Non-Fungible Transformations have exciting news! With the ongoing success of our Ape-Frat Blockchain we've expanded our services and will be forking the blockchain to form 'Lion's Pride: A new breed of blockchain empowering a more LGBT friendly future.' An image of a poorly drawn lion in a baseball cap and toga graced the screen, giving the pair a taste of the exciting new future of NFTs.
The pair shared a look. This update went far beyond any in the past.
"That's quite a significant update. Like I said, they are genius developers and working at breakneck speeds." said Sam
"Yea, looks like our 'frat' is about to get some competition"
