Katelyn sat on her laptop working on a project for school, she had just finished her final project for school and with straight As aside from that C in the required history class she was on track to graduate near the top of her class. She bit her teeth at that stupid C on her record.
It wasn’t her fault she thought, how was she supposed to know human history when she wasn’t human.
On the outside she looked human and a good looking human on top of that but in truth she was what they humans would call a mythical monster. Her school records and reports had been forged and she had spent the past 4 years at university to do two things.
First to get an education, while they had school for her kind in the separate world that her ancient ancestors had set up they had learned a lot by studying human advancements. She looked at her laptop with a grin, she had something just like it back home and that was do to people like her who studied human advancement while pretending to be human.
That part of her mission was a full success, so was the second part.
Finding love.
“How are you doing Kate?” inquired her boyfriend of almost four years as he came up behind her and gave her a kiss on the side of her neck.
“Better now that you are here.” She answered as she tilted her head to give him more access to her neck. The dirty blonde braided ponytail shifting off her shoulder to fall to about shoulder blade length down her back.
“Good, maybe we can have some fun.” Said her boyfriend, Michael often going by Mich.
“Maybe.” Kate answered back as she slipped her hand down and brushed his manhood through his shorts. He responded by brushing his hand down her side his finger lingering on her B size breasts which while on the small side was perky and went great with her frame. “But sadly, I need to finish this project first.”
“I understand.” He answered back in an understanding but disappointing way.
“Maybe tonight.” Kate answered back as she turned and gave him a long kiss as he pulled away, she hated lying to him, he didn’t know she was a magical creature, that she actually came from a large family he believed her family was dead but it was something that needed to be done. In time she hoped he would forgive her, when the truth was out and….
She stopped as her computer let out a beep, informing her that she had gotten an email. Thinking it was school she clicked on it and paused at the headline.
“Accepted”
She clicked on the message and read it, Mich had passed the inspection done by the magical authorities in charge of making sure he would be a good fit for what was going to happen. In a short amount of time, he would learn her secret because he would become the same type of creature she truly was and he would be forced to leave humanity behind and join her in her world. Knowing Mich he would jump at the chance, he had been looking for the time to propose marriage to her, she had found the ring he had attempted to hide and had to fight back tears of happiness and sorrow. Happiness because she loved him as much as he seamed to love her, sadness because she was lying to him and all the pain that was going to happen.
She paused and looked at the instructions, she was to tell him she won an online prize, and it was a three day trip to a location where the team would be waiting to help her tell him the truth, to take him to their world and begin the transformation. Later would come the adjustment phase, a cover up team would be in place to make their “deaths” look like a horrible accident. She closed her laptop and prepared herself.
