Wouldn’t you know, Mitch picked the change card. Although, he doesn’t know if this card favors him or not. He won’t find out until he tries.
“It says,” Mitch said with his pre-pubescent voice. It annoys him how squeaky his voice sounds. “I’ll pick a person. I’ll think of a person you’ll turn into. If you guess right, you change into the person I thought of. If not, you take a drink.”
Mitch scanned his friends and went straight for Jesse. This is payback… he thinks. The instructions on the card don’t seem too good for Mitch. It isn’t bad either. It’s ambivalent?
“To be honest, I don’t know what you’re thinking so I’ll take a gambled guess. Is it Wyatt Jameson?” Jesse said. Wyatt Jameson is the hot topic of the campus right now. There are rumors that he’s dating some B-actress chick from Hollywood. Jesse doesn’t believe the rumors himself. He knew Wyatt since he was a kid. He may have the body of a Greek god and a face befitting of royalty but he’s awkward under that facade. He can’t possibly snag someone famous despite all that? Couldn’t he?
As for Mitch, Wyatt Jameson is the farthest guy from his mind right now. Revenge is the strongest voice burning in his mind. He’s thinking of Jesse when he was a ten-year-old kid,
As much it pains him to admit, “You’re wrong. I was thinking of you turning into a child.”
“Psh… Can’t believe I dodged that bullet. It’s so obvious you’d think that. Cheers for me then.” Jesse filled the shot glass with the hard-hitting whiskey and drowned the lacquer-colored liquid in one swig. Jesse is tolerant to alcohol by now but this whiskey still hits like the hoof of a horse. He let out a dragon’s belch. He returned the glass to the middle of the group and awaited the next fold of events.
