…why not try something completely new? It’d test the book’s capabilities and I’d be able to change back pretty easily, right?
I crossed out “Jason” and wrote in “Jasmine.” I wondered if only my name would change as my handwriting once again turned into the black typeface displayed in the book, and the expected change of my name to Jasmine occurred. To my delight, the pronouns used for me began to change in the book as well, from he/him to she/her.
For a second, I wondered if just my gender had changed - in fact, I was already feeling a little more feminine, at least mentally, but my body was still the same.
Suddenly, I felt that dizziness once more, a wave of vertigo consuming my senses. I blacked out for a few seconds…
When I came to, my whole body felt different. I looked down - and sure enough, I had a pair of small breasts and a petite frame. I walked over to my bedroom mirror - a female version of myself stated back at me. “Woah…” I said, feeling my throat, where my Adam’s apple used to be. My voice had never been deep, but now it was incredibly my feminine, almost cutesy.
“Oh, wow.” I said. I could almost remember being Jasmine, though Jason’s memories were still dominant.
