Laura glanced at the clock, a frown forming on her face. "Damn it it's already past seven," she grumbled. "The shop just closed."
"So now what," Kaitlin asked. "No offense Laura but you look like you still have a curfew."
"Dont remind me," the teenager mumbled. Sighing Laura now studied Kaitlin and Anna, for now they would need to to stick together. "Well we're going to need someplace to crash. We should probably all stay together for now."
"So a sleepover," Kaitlin replied, raising an eyebrow. "Geez Laura, don't tell me your thinking like a teen too?"
"No," Laura replied, defensively, her cheeks blushing in embarrassment at the thought of actually suggesting this idea. "But it makes sense right now. We're all getting really young now. Anymore rolls and we could be in real trouble. Its for the best if we have someone around just in case."
"Oooo a sleepover," Anna replied excitedly. "I haven't been to a sleepover in years." The Asian woman now paused, gazing at her younger companions. "I think I'm still a bit too old for that. Let me fix that." Anna now released her die, Laura and Kaitlin eyes growing wide in shock.
"No!!!!"
Twenty five years you have walked this Earth. Now this number is but twenty two. Each roll of the dice returns more of what you have lost.
Once more the orbs of light floated off Anna's body. The changes to the young Asian woman were subtle. Anna's face grew a little smoother, rounding slightly while her body became leaner and more toned. As the lights faded, Laura and Kaitlin beheld a young woman who looked like she was still in college.
"Twenty two," Anna smirked. "Not too shabby." Anna now glanced in a hand mirror, giggling softly at her youthful appearance. "I forgot how young I always looked. I bet I could pass for twenty."
Kaitlin now angrily snatched up Anna's die, glaring at the youthful Asian woman. "Will you stop," she exclaimed. "This is serious Anna. What happens if we can't reverse this? Have you thought about that?"
"About being young again yes," Anna countered. ""Having a second chance. Not having to worry about aches and pains. Not worrying about medications or illness. I've thought about those things very carefully Kaitlin. Why do you think I rolled the dice?"
As Kaitlin was about to respond she paused. Laura watched the blond coeds eyes go wide before a frown began to form across her face. "Great," she grumbled. "The dice bonded to me. AGAIN!"
"Here," Laura offered. "Why don't you put it in here. I'll tape the box shut so it won't open. Hopefully that will prevent any more accidents from happening."
"Why don't you just let me hold them," Anna stated. Laura now cast the youthful Asian woman a dubious look. At the rate Anna was going, Laura wondered if she would roll herself out of existence. Laura shuddered at the thought. They still didn't understand exactly how the dice worked. Was it even possible for that to happen? Also, what would happen if it did, would they end up back in their own mothers womb or someone else's? The thought sent shivers down her spine at the ramifications.
"I think I'll hold onto them for now Anna," Laura said. "For right now though I think we should head back to my place. Its closest and I have some old clothes we can use."
"Sounds as good as any plan," Kaitlin shrugged. "You sure you have the space?"
"I've got a king sized bed and a couch," Laura shrugged. "And I just went grocery shopping the other day so I have food."
"Food sounds great," Anna said excitedly. "Maybe it's my new found youth but I'm famished."
As the three young women now exited the office for their cars, Laura began to wonder what she would do? Hopefully the evening would be quiet enough without any further rolls. Tomorrow, they would go to the Magic Shop and hopefully be able to reverse this
