Stay out of sight of any of the zoo employees that were closing for the night. Your voluptuous form easily hides in the shadows despite your size, Day seems to be struggling to be sneaky. After getting to a central point, you decide to split up to see which animals are anthro, and which are not. You head to the back of the zoo, while Day hovers around the exhibits near the entrance.
You get to a spot where you won’t be easily seen and try to get a good look at what is happening in the general exhibits. You take it the ones that are sleeping are real animals, so you slip through the shadows to reach the first exhibit where the animals are still awake. Of course, it would be the lion exhibit that you as a deer would check first. The lion you see is male, with a large mane, round ears, a signature tail, and large paws. Other than those features, his face and body are surprisingly human. You try to whisper a few times and wait for a response. Seeing as that wasn’t going to work, you opt to sneak behind the trainers and security, getting into the areas behind the exhibits, the cages, and staff areas. You stay on EXTRA high alert here as a familiar voice can barely be heard in your enhanced hearing.
“Exactly bro, leave the animals to me. I’ll make sure it’s all good when the bossman arrives. You’re just wastin’ your time stayin’ here overnight when you could be vibin’ or chillaxin’…”
Hearing his voice makes your skin crawl, but that lets you know that he plans on doing something else tonight while the crew is gone. At least Day wasn’t the first to come in contact with him.
Day, on the other hand, resorted to hiding behind garbage bins and doorways, holding his breath to make himself smaller. He somehow managed to slip into the aviary where there were normal birds surrounding what looked to be a girl in a white and brown feathered dress with brunette hair, golden eyes, and long wings on her back. She almost looked like an angel, but her feet looked more like they belonged to a waterfowl. She was sleeping peacefully despite being surrounded by other birds (some that were nocturnal).
