You wake up again to the screams of the damned and get ready for the day ahead of you. You are a soldier in the resistance group that's been trying to take the earth back from Lucifer. However you are the smallest and least threatening guy in the group and most the other cadets just pick on you. But you don't let that stop you from giving it your all and despite the odds stacked against you have not died or gotten captured on a mission... yet. Its time for roll call and you line up with the other guys in your group only coming up to their chest's you stand firm and wait for your name to be called.
Jackson? the commanding officer calls and you shout "present sir!" And he moves onto the next name on the list. After roll call is finished you are then dismissed to go get your gear in order and get ready to roll out. As you are suiting up one of the other soldiers named Kent walks over to you and takes your helmet off and holds it above you just out of reach. Kent picked on you the most out of anyone else in your squad and as he watches you try and reach your helmet in defeat he just laughs and tosses it to another soldier who joins in on the teasing. You just sigh and say "don't you guys got anything better to do than pick on me all day?" Kent thinks on this for a moment scratching his chin in thought and shrugs as he says "nope"
Just then Connors snatches the helmet from the offender's hand and hands it back to you, he then turns to face Kent and says "why don't you pick on someone your own size Kent?" Connors was the only one in the squad who ever stood up for you and he received hell from the others for it but he did not care whatsoever. "you got a Deathwish Connors?" Kent sneers at him, Connors just sighs and says "aren't we supposed to be a team? why you got to pick on Jackson all the time for eh?" Kent just chuckles and says "you better watch it Connors befo-" but he is cut off as the commanding officer walks in and says "before what Kent?" Kent then spins around and salutes him and says "nothing sir! We were just going over battle tactics, isn't that right Jackson?" He gives you a nudge on the shoulder and you knew that if the commanding officer found out about what really happened then you would all receive some form of punishment and you relented in the idea of that and said "yeah... battle tactics."
"Well you can discuss them later!" The commanding officer shouts "were getting ready to roll out and if you aren't ready by the time I come back, it will be time for the most intense training any of you wimps will ever receive" he looks at you as he says this and you blush in embarrassment. After he leaves you all get geared up and start rolling out.
