David struggled to move his head. Finally he felt his head move. He felt his mouth and throat swallow. But it didn't feel like he was doing it.
Suddenly, a strong female voice took over, moving his mouth, tongue, and lips. "So, is that it? Did it work?"
The doctor took a flashlight to David's eyes, then pulled his mouth open, then measured his heartbeat. David's body felt groggy and strange. Did he just say that? Why did his voice sound like that?
"Mariah," the doctor announced, looking David in the eyes, "I think you saved your brother's life."
"Mariah? Brother's life?" David started to panic, as his own questions and flailing seemed to have no impact on the world around him.
David felt his mouth swallow again. He felt himself sit up. His body felt flabby and uncomfortable. Again, it didn't feel like he was doing it. His mouth tasted awful. His teeth felt gross and wrong. What kind of drug could he possibly be on?
David felt his stomach cramp, then a huge burp come out of his mouth. Then he felt his mouth move against his will, again. "I have to piss." David said, or the person controlling David's mouth said.
David was panicking. He felt his body stand up.
