Jeff only looks up as he hears the door of the living room open, he turns his head and his eyes widen in shock, “da... I mean, Mike! How come you are back already,” he asks, “I... I thought you'd be gone for another week”.
Mike looks at his wife, not noticing that “she” almost called him “dad”, the man is simply exhausted from the long drive. “I could ask you the same thing, Jane,” he says, letting himself fall onto the couch next to his wife, with a relaxed sigh. Mike then leans in and gives “Jane” a kiss on the cheek, causing Jeff to flinch and tense up, but Mike does not notice, “so, how come you are back so early,” he asks.
“Um... I... The meetings were not as complex as I thought,” Jeff/Jane says, “so, my boss... told me to head home. He s-said that he'd get along without me”.
Mike notices his wife seeming to be tensed and nervous about something, “you seem to be tense and nervous,” he says, “what's the matter, baby,” he asks.
“Oh... I am just tired from the trip back,” “Jane” says, “I just wanted to watch a movie and then head to bed”.
Mike nods, “yeah, I also had a exhausting drive back,” he says, “did you park in the garage? I have not noticed your car in the drive way”.
'SHIT,' Jeff shouts in his mind, “um... n-no... Jeff borrowed it”.
Mike raises an eyebrow, “oh? I thought you would never let him drive your car,” he says.
“Yeah... well, I guess I can trust him to look after it,” Jeff/Jane says, “he knows what'll happen if there is a slight scratch in the paint”.
Mike chuckles, “hehe yeah, I wouldn't want to be in his shoes,” he says, “don't worry babe, he'll watch out to not get your car scratched or damaged”.
Jeff smiles, relieved that his dad seems to believe the story, “so, why are you back so early,” he then asks.
“Oh... same reason like your's,” Mike simply says, “so, how long is Jeff and his siblings going to be gone,” he asks.
“Only until next Sunday,” the “woman” says.
Mike smiles, “nice, that means we can have some “special time” without being disturbed,” he says with a wink.
Jeff shivers, he knows EXACTLY what his dad means, “um... I... um... dunno,” he says, “I... I actually don't feel up to do anything... um... “special”. C-can we do it some other time,” the “woman” asks.
Mike tilts his head, “that is so not like you, Jane,” he says, “normally you'd be all for it. Are you sure that you are alright,” he asks.
“Ye-yeah... don't worry,” Jeff says, “I am just tired and not in the mood”.
Mike sighs, “okay, I won't pressure you,” he says.
Jeff/Jane relaxes, “thanks,” she says, “I am really tired, why don't we head to bed,” with that the “woman” gets up from the couch and walks out of the living room.
Mike stays sitting on the couch, 'Jane really seems tense and nervous,' he thinks to himself, the man takes out his phone, 'I really don't want to mess with her without her knowing, but... I want her to just relax'. The man opens the app-version of the Chronivac and hits the scan button.
Since Mike's version of the Chronivac is a own program, Jeff's stats aren't listed, the program scans and it only finds a woman in the house. The program is unable to know that the woman is actually Mike's son, so it automatically assumes that the woman is the real “Jane Davis”.
Mike watches as his phone gives of a “ping” and the stats of his wife appear:

The man leaves his “wife's” awareness off, not wanting her to think something is wrong. 'There, that should do it,' Mike thinks to himself, hitting confirm, 'at least with her nervousness set to low and her libido set to medium, she should be more relaxed. Maybe she'll even be relaxed enough to have some “special time” after all, better go check on her,' with that Mike gets up from the couch and heads upstairs and towards the master bedroom.
