Edna woke up as the sun from her window hit her eyes. She hadn't slept so well in awhile, and sat up in bed. At her current size, her bed seemed huge, and she giggled girlishly. Today was the day!
She knew that Heather liked to go to the mall with her friends after school on Fridays, which would be the perfect time to use her new invention on the tall young woman. Her plan was to disguise herself as a little girl, so she could get close to Heather without being noticed.
Of course, to do that, she would need a new outfit. Turning her device on herself, she restored herself to her normal height. It would be fun to make herself bigger, but she wouldn't have anything to wear if she did, so that would have to wait for another day. She still felt pretty clean, so she forwent her morning shower and instead raided her secret savings. She was going to have to skip school, but it didn't really matter- she was going to graduate early anyways, and being able to go to the college of her choice was assured.
Really, she could have graduated high school even younger, if her parents hadn't insisted otherwise. They felt she need the "high school experience" to become better at socializing. How had she ended up being born into this family, anyways?
Well that didn't matter either. Once she graduated, she was going to leave and never look back. She just needed to deal with Heather once and for all. She grabbed a box of wipes and a damp towel to clean out the seat of her trusty 2012 Fiat, the last reminder of yesterday's misadventure. Then she left and headed to the mall.
Once there, she visited several children's clothing stores and splurged on not only the cutest outfit she could find, but some extra kid sized clothes as well. She wasn't sure why, but she reasoned there might be other uses for her smaller form in the future. She couldn't wait to change, but she would have to wait until school let out- a young girl by herself would attract attention.
So instead, she rented a locker to hold her purchases, and headed to the food court to get lunch. She had some time to kill, and the urge to test her device some more came over her. She'd have to be subtle though- dramatic changes would attract attention, after all. Granted, her plans for Heather were going to do that as well, but she'd burn that bridge later.
Knowing the food court had cameras, she carefully looked around, and identified a place where she would remain unrecorded by the surveillance. Then it was a matter of waiting for a good subject...
