For whatever reason, you had an admirer. You hadn't seen her yet, but she definitely saw you. Yes, ALL, of you. She made herself known rather soon, however, stepping out from behind her hidden viewing spot.
"Greetings, traveler!" the woman called out, her blonde hair flowing behind her. She didn't have any weapons or armor. Clothing...somewhat...but nothing that made her seem like a threat. Other than her strong-looking physique.
You, however, also didn't have your armor or weapons. You didn't even have clothes on either!
So, you made the best of the situation and gave her your best charming smile and eyebrow wiggle. Hey, who knows, maybe you'll make a friend.
She smiled and put a hand to her mouth, suppressing a giggle. "Not much of a talker, are you?"
You shrugged. Being born mute, you never really felt the need to talk even if you could. You waved an arm over, inviting her to join you, but she raised a hand to politely decline.
"Sorry, but as nice as that looks, I do have to return to the city," she explained.
You tilted your head, then pointed to your armor and shield, nodding your head to yourself. No need to let her go alone. Tis a dangerous world out there.
"Ah, well I appreciate the offer, traveler, but no, I don't need protection. However, I do need transportation," she said, then smiled as she looked up at the horse head statue. You tried to think of a solution for her transportation problem. You had brought no horse of your own, and it was unlikely you'd find some random lost horse out there.
As you were thinking about this, the woman snapped you back to reality as she was right up next to you. Not in the spring, but just on the rocky lip next to it. Wow, she moved fast. "Traveler, do you know what this place is?"
You gave an awkward smile and shrugged again. Not a clue.
"That's alright. Not many do. Where you wade is the Stallion Springs. Or Spring of Stallions. Both names have been used before. Anyways, these were made...oh...I'd say a few centuries ago, and for one specific purpose."
You looked at her to continue and she did.
"That purpose is for horses of legends to be created. Male, female, doesn't matter. The name of the springs is just a name," she smiled at you as you started to process what she meant.
"Well, traveler? You did want to help me. Will you be my warhorse?"
