Brandon and Katie decided to head out and go to one of their favorite local places for dinner. They usually went out or ordered out on Friday at the end the week without either of them wanting to cook again. It was a poke bowl sushi restaurants their favorite. They both ate and enjoyed their meals talking to each other about typical couple things for a while before Katie got up to go to the bathroom. On the way there she would hear someone arguing in the door to the kitchen and saw what looked like some shady looking Asian man with tattoos and a fancy suit arguing with one of the chefs over something she couldn't understand, but she wouldn't need to understand when she suddenly saw him grab a knife and stab the man.
She quickly ran off and got Brandon to get out of there and into the car. She was panicked but after a moment she would call the police and tell them what happened. They eventually meant up with a detective who explained who the man she saw was and how he had ties to the yakuza. They had been building a large case against him but have had issues pinning things on him since he is mostly out of the country and out of their jurisdiction, but this murder would be the perfect thing to finally nail him. She would need to testify, but once he was charged and the public investigation formally starts she would likely be in danger. It was then they were finally driven in a windowless van to the Witness Protection Bureau with bags over their head so that no one could even see who they were before hand. Eventually after sitting for a painfully long time alone in a locked rooms their assigned agent would walk in and explain their options.
