'Oh boy, here goes', Dani thought, as she led Gemory to her Dad.
The demoness had conjured an outfit of herself, consisting of an oversized, asymmetrical white shirt that had one long sleeve while leaving the other arm and shoulder bare, along with high-waisted white pants, and black scalloped sandals with a low heel. Her long hair was held back out of her eyes by a white kerchief, and a black scrunchie held it into a long ponytail. Even with the heels, Danielle was sure Gemory was a few inches shorter than before.
Gemory walked up to Danielle's father and favored him with her cutest smile. "Wow, so you're Danielle's father? I can see where she gets her looks from!"
Jack Western was taken aback. How had Dani managed to meet such a beautiful girl? "Well I don't know about that. Her mother is a model, you know."
Gemory brushed that off. "Don't sell yourself short, Mr. Western. You're a very handsome man." She then took Dani's arm and put it around her as she clung to the taller girl's side. "If I wasn't so much in love with your daughter, why I'd make a pass at you!"
"Back off, he's my Dad", Danielle muttered lowly.
Gemory just smiled up at her and winked.
"Well this is a cause for celebration. Hon, why don't you take the rest of the day off, and get cleaned up. We should have dinner tonight." Jack grinned.
"Oh, actually, I was hoping to cook for the both of you!" Gemory smiled.
"C...cook?! You...can cook?!" Jack got a longing look in his eyes. His ex-wife had refused to even look at a pot sideways, and both he and his daughter were disasters in the kitchen.
"Oh yes! I'll do some shopping, and make you both a wonderful meal!"
Without batting an eye, Jack looked to his daughter. "You have my permission to marry this girl."
"Dad, I'm only 17!" Dani protested.
But then, Gemory took Danielle's hand in her own, and showed off their rings. "Don't worry about that, Mr. Western. Your daughter already took the initiative!"
Jack felt proud of his daughter. "That's my girl. She always did have good sense."
Dani just shook her head. She had expected her dad to protest, instead, he was all for it! 'I better not tell him she's literally Satan', she thought.
With his blessing procured, Danielle led her fiancee to her truck and drove her back to her house. Both she and her father were currently sharing a townhouse they had fixed up, intending to flip, but after nobody wanting to pay their asking price, dad had decided they would just move in.
Danielle didn't mind, it sure beat their crummy old apartment.
"Say, this is a nice place. Judging from how you and your father dress, I figured you'd have some crummy hole in the wall apartment." Gemory noted, as she hopped out of the truck.
"We did. But nobody wanted to buy it, so we got stuck with it. Not that I'm complaining." Danielle walked up to the front door and paused. "Do I have to invite you in or something?"
Gemory laughed. "I'm not a vampire, love. I predate all of human civilization, thresholds don't give me pause." As if to prove the point, she slipped by Dani and walked in.
"Great, and she's an older woman." Danielle grumbled.
"True, but you'll be happy for my experience. Besides, I can be as young or old as I want to be." The demoness said, smiling.
"I've noticed you've been making yourself shorter. What's up with that?"
"Oh, well, isn't it preferred for one member of a couple to be a head shorter? I thought it might be nice to be perfectly lap-sized, to be honest. But if you have a problem with short girls, I can go back to being 6' 4"."
"Wow, that's really tall! But no, um, you're cute this way." Dani blushed.
"Aw, you say the nicest things, my love. Anyways, why don't you go shower, and I'll get to work in the kitchen?"
"We didn't do any shopping?"
Gemory rolled her eyes. "Hello? Duke of Hell? I think I can manage. Now dress nice for me, won't you?"
Dani sighed and trudged off to her room to get some fresh clothes. Somewhere along the line, she'd lost whatever control she'd had over this relationship. It wasn't that Gemory wasn't beautiful (she was), but she was a devil! And while she might love her, Danielle herself didn't have those kinds of feelings...
