The water was warm and the scene below them was breathtaking beautiful as the three of you swim away from the boat which was anchored just off from a popular diving spot.
The sea was full of life, fish of almost every color and type swam around, you spotted some jellyfish in the distance but stayed cleared for them. You pass over a couple of nurse sharks but they paid you all no mind. A vast coral reef was before you and the sharks had other things to do.
“This is wonderful.” Said Ruth over the radio built into your diving helmet. Her voice was a little static but still came in clear enough.
“It is, but these monofins are a little bit of a pain.” Complained Chyna
“Agreed, but I am getting the hang of it.” You responded as you kept moving over he reef.
It was a wonderful time, looking at the reef below you and diving down to get a closer look every so often.
“On our way back, there is a sunken ship we should check out.” Reported Ruth as she lead you on a round about route back toward your boat.
That is when you spotted it, sitting on the edge of the reef covered with coral was an old warship it’s guns covered with sea weed and fishes going in an out of port holes.
“Cool, what caused it to sink?” inquired Chyne as she lowered herself to stand on the deck.
“I think they sank it to make an artificial reef.” Ruth explained “Towed it out here and dropped her down.”
“Well it’s a cool place.” You responded as you all swim around the old ship, it wasn’t big but big enough. You where half tempted to go explore inside the ship but multiple warnings and a heavy-duty lock on each of the hatches prevented that.
You where about to head on back when you notice a strange seaweed covered object poking out of the deck of ship near the midship. It was strange, like a massive nail poking out of the ship, busting apart the deck and breaking through metal.
“What is this?” you inquired as your hand brushed against the seaweed which floated away to show a large blue green crystal poking out of the deck of the ship and which likely went down into the heart of the ship.
You look at the crystal transfixed for a moment before you notice it was glowing building up some kind of light.
“Guys!” you say over your radio as you start to swim away before there was a flash of light and everything changed.
