Chronivac Version 4.0

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

added A year ago AP BM O Mental

Mr. Brandley,
Subject Aaron Good is still going by the name of Jeff and is showing mixed signs of both complete rejection and complete acceptance of the supplanted memories. On one hand, he remembers graduating high school and working fast food but on the other, cannot recall any of the numerous relationship experiences we provided, romantic or otherwise. Parenting skills, the various hobbies, most higher education topics, and the work experiences that relied on them have been completely rejected.

As suggested, we loaded him with the hunting memory set but as I cautioned, that too has faded since yesterday. He seems to be getting faster at rejecting memories that aren't going to stick and as I mentioned yesterday, fear that more exposure to the process will only lead to faster rejection.

Kind Regards,
Darcia Whitmore

Darcia,

Clearly, leaving you in charge of this project was an error in my judgment. This project does not have the luxury of being allowed to fail as it is our first non-soldier willing subject. Failure here would most likely mean termination of the expanded research, this technology would be limited to getting recruits through basic training, and it was already expressed that it isn't worth the cost.

Before the subject arrived I debriefed you that this would be very different from giving someone memories of something they are eager to learn, and may already have decent knowledge on. I expressed that knowledge will need to be added incrementally and in context to the subject. In reviewing your upload schedule it looks like you went to the relationships folder, picked out a handful of experiences ranging from backyard barbeque, through keg party, to relationships ranging from one night to 7 months, and dumped it in his brain. You did the same thing the previous day with early 90's daily life; and the next day with college courses and work experiences.

Per your last update, yes, I did respond that you should try teaching him hunting, but I see no sign out indicating that you took him to the forest behind the facility and handed him a firearm for immersion reinforcement like I recommended. Unlike the recruits we turn into soldiers, Mr. Good wasn't given parenting skills and handed a baby, placed in a cubicle, or presented with a relationship or house to maintain within 24 hours of relevant uploads, unlike the soldiers who were handed guns and immediately taken to their next training.

You are correct that we are left with very few options at this point and our measures must become more drastic to overcome his resistance as his brain is beginning to consider everything we offer it noise...

I began constructing this upload after your last message hoping you would find a different way, you must follow my instructions exactly... this time...
