Once Laura had managed to calm the tension between her two new teenage friends (although they were not totally even), the 3 girls found themselves in total silence sitting on the couch, not really having thought about what to do tonight, well actually there was one who had found an occupation...
"What are you on?" Laura asked the
Asian girl sitting to her right.
"It's called tik tok" answered Anna nonchalantly, curled up with her feet on the sofa.
"Well, girls, it's not that I'm bored, but I am bored, so the three of us will decide on something to do." Announced Laura as a leader.
"Well, go ahead and suggest something" replied Anna.
"I said all three of us Anna. Laura said in an authoritative tone.
Kaitlin turned to Laura.
"Hey Laura, do you remember the restaurant?"
"Yes how can’t I forget that episode?"
"Well we didn't really have time to eat if you don't remember, and it's all because off… you know who" finished Kaitlin while throwing an accusing look at Anna.
"Don't care" Anna said curtly, still on her phone.
"Ah yes, now that you mention it, it's true, we haven't eaten, and… I m starving" said Laura.
"There you go, and so I was thinking why not start by ordering pizzas?"
"Very nice idea, I'm in!" says Laura happy that Kaitlin finally suggested something.
"What do you think, Anna?
"Do as you wish" answered Anna without looking up from her phone.
Laura sighed at Anna's attitude then stood up and grabbed the bag of clothes that was meant for her.
"Well I'll go get dressed, I'll leave you to it."
"I'll come with you" Anna stood up and left Kaitlin. "My clothes have gotten loose too, my jeans keep slipping off my hips and I'm not telling you about the rest."
"Yes I can see that...wait but you only have…"
"Hehe that was without counting on Anna the most cautious girl in the world" Anna gloriously showed Laura one of the bags.
"Yeah, she kept begging me to get clothes in case we got even younger, I guess I did the right thing by listening to her" Kaitlin explained as she dialed the number for the pizza place.
"Well you're not that careless actually" teased Laura.
"Wow thanks for that first compliment I've ever received from you." Anna replied.
"I'm going to my room, you can use the bathroom...take a look to what the last rolls left you, maybe this will finally make you understand that you should not touch the dices anymore."
Anna rolled her eyes and entered the bathroom.
Laura was glad to find all the clothes Kaitlin took her were her size plus she had good taste in style, she always followed fashion closely, something Laura didn't really have time to think about or find as much interest in. She easily removed her current loose clothing and tried on a few outfits, then finally decided. A black crop-top showing part of her belly with a grey sweatpants and white socks, she even chose to wear a gold chain necklace that she took from her jewelry box which gave her the impression of stealing her mother's, a thought that she immediately removed from her head.
Coming out of her room she saw a cute teenage girl she would never have mistaken for the old cleaning lady she knew.
Anna was wearing what looked like Korean style clothing, a large light pink sweater on a collared shirt, with wide beige jeans. Laura couldn't believe it, she was even wearing sneakers, sunglasses and a necklace, but how much money could she have put in there!
"Ah that's definitely feel better to wear fitting clothes"
"Yeah you bet, but uh...tell me Anna, how much did you put into all those clothes and accessories earlier?"
"Well, let's just say that Kaitlin helped me a little bit to pay…you know the salary of a cleaning lady ?"
"Yeah I see…"
Anna smiled "Anyway I love your outfit."
"Thanks…I guess. I like yours too…"
The two girls smiled awkwardly and joined Kaitlin in the living room who was still in her baggy clothes.
"Wow girls, you could knock any guy’s socks off in high school" Kaitlin teased which made both teens blush.
"I think you should go change too instead of talking nonsense" Laura replied with a smirk.
"Alright, but you girls are not prepared." Smiled Kaitlin.
Laura rolled her eyes and sank into the couch.
"Geeeez I m so hungry" Anna complained while slouching head first into the soft cushions.
