“There is one problem however.” Said Headmistress Francine as she looked you straight in the eye. “This school as you must have noticed is a school populated by mythical creatures and not all of them where born mythical creatures.”
“What do you mean?” you inquired
“This school sits at a sort of middle ground between the human world and the mythical world, the magic while weaker than our home world is still here and strong enough to effect humans who stay around too long.” Explained Headmistress Francine as you began to understand.
“So, I am transforming into a mythical creature?” you inquired
“Yes and no, you can’t transform just by walking into school grounds, you could leave now and be totally fine but over time the magic will begin to change you.” Explained Francine “It’s like radiation, one or two x-rays will not hurt your body but a couple of million will.”
“I see.” You answer
“I am surprised your parents didn’t bring this up with you? I told them all about it over the phone.” Inquired Francine
“My parents told me I would have to make some life changing choices, but I thought it was just the school not this.” You explain
“I see, now if you decide to stay you will be changed into something random over time however if you should want to pick a creature we have ways to speed it up.” Explained the headmistress “But do note, magic is wild and while it can be gilded it can never be fully controlled. Some who have wanted to become a fairy like myself ended up an elf or a werewolf…some have even had their genders changed by the winds of magic. However sometimes the magic changes what you want, we had a human who was transsexual as you say and he became a beautiful she-werewolf like she always wanted. Magic can do a lot of things”
“I see…” you answer
“Now if you stay, I recommend you take a couple of days to talk with some of our other students to help you decide what you want to become.” Advised Francine as you nod your head in understanding. “Also I wouldn’t wait too long once changes begin naturally it will start to limit what you can choose to become.”
“How long?” you inquire
“48 hours would be best but no more then 72.” Answered Francine “Now unless you already have a creature in mind or any other questions, I will get someone to lead you to your dorm.”
