Mike opens his eyes blearily. He’s in his bed at home. And he knows exactly why he woke up at this moment. Mike jumps out of bed and rushes to the bathroom. Only when he gets to the bathroom does he remember that, at this size, he might have issues using the toilet. But to his relief, a toddler training potty now sits next to the full-size porcelain throne.
Ripping off his diaper on the way, Mike runs to the potty. The moment his butt touches the seat of the potty, his bowels rumble. There’s a soft fart. Mike’s bowels empty into the potty. Sighing in relief that he finally made it, Mike also pees.
“Oh, you made it to the potty!” a voice says. Mike looks over. Jim stands in the bathroom, watching him. “Good job!”
“…Thanks,” Mike mumbles. As he speaks, he realizes his new pacifier is still in his mouth. But he doesn’t want to spit it out, so he continues to suckle.
“All done?” Jim asks. Mike pushes. A small trickle of pee enters the potty.
“Yes.”
“Good!” Jim walks over, lifts Mike up, and wipes his butt.
“Hey!”
“You’re too little to do a proper job wiping.”
“Ugh.”
“And time to put you back in your diaper,” Jim says. He picks up the diaper that Mike had left on the floor. “Never mind. This one’s a bit wet. We’ll get you a fresh diaper.”
Mike reluctantly allows Jim to diaper him yet again. Once he’s in a fresh diaper and dressed in some of his new clothes, Jim carries Mike to the living room. There, Jim puts a pair of shoes on Mike.
“Why are you dressing me all the way?” Mike asks, his pacifier still in his mouth.
“We’re going out. And you’re coming with.”
“Wait, what?” Mike stares at Jim in horror. He suckles on his pacifier for some much-needed comfort. “Where are we going?”
