A startled Teddy looked up as the door slid open. The android stepped through the door and smiled at him.
"Looks like someone's in a much better mood. Hopefully you wore yourself out because it's nap time!"
As he's lifted up, Teddy wondered how long he had been playing for. The dimmed lights indicating it was at least an hour since he arrived in the playroom. How could he let himself lose track of time like that? He may have lost his only chance of escape for who knows how long.
As he's carried out of the room, he considered that besides his first abysmal attempt he hadn’t tried to explain the situation to the android. It may simply ignore him, but it might recognize he's too smart to be a real baby.
Formulating a sentence that should be within his current vocal limits, Teddy opened his mouth and said, "Gah gee bah di."
That wasn't right, Teddy focused on his tongue and mouth as hard as he could and tried again, "Biba goo wah."
"Gosh you're much more talkative now aren't you?" the android cheerily replied.
'Not talkative enough', he thought. He had been able to talk at least somewhat before. Why was he unable to now?
A shiver ran up his spine as he considered the implications of the Infant Bahavior Correction Programs. The more intense pleasurable feelings had led to him to lose focus on forming words. Had that inadvertently rewired his brain to favor babbling?
If that was the case he had to avoid activating any of those programs. Otherwise who knew how that could effect him?
