Jeff, a 16-year-old boy with short black hair, brown eyes, a natural brown tan and an athletic body and his friend Dean, who is a 17-year-old boy with short blond hair, turquoise eyes, pale skin and an athletic body, are driving through Blanco County, Texas. It is spring brake and the boys decided to spend their holidays somewhere away from civilization and just tour the Texas Hill Country, camping in the open and simply enjoy nature and the wildlife.
Both boys are pretty adventurous and spend most of their free times together exploring the mountains, forests, deserts and all sorts of places. They decided to spend two weeks in Texas' most isolated part, away from traffic and people.
They have been driving for hours, it is around 5pm in the afternoon and both boys start to feel tired from the long drive. Jeff turns to Dean who is driving the car, Dean had gotten a Jeep Wrangler from his parents as a birthday gift, “yo Dean,” Jeff says, “it is getting late and I am feeling pretty tired. Why don't we find someplace off road to camp”.
Dean agrees, so he takes the next dirt road to leave the black tar and head as far as possible away from the main road. “Keep your eyes peeled for a good spot to camp,” he tells Jeff.
Jeff stares out of his window, he notices a structure in the distance, “Dean, there is some kind of structure to my right,” he says and points.
Dean turns his head, “there sure is,” he says, “let's head towards it, maybe it is some abandoned ranch or farm or it is in use and we could ask the owner if we could camp on his grounds for a night”.
“Sounds like a plan,” Jeff replies.
They drive towards the structure, but the closer they get they soon realize that they found, what looks to be an abandoned ranch. There is a big main wooden house, which looks as if it would crumble any second, a big busted up barn and some fenced of pastures which were pretty over grown.
Dean stop the car and shuts off the engine, “looks like no one has been here in years,” he says.
“Who cares,” Jeff says, already getting out of the Jeep, “let's find a place to put up camp”.
Dean nods and gets out of the Jeep, both teens start to unload the car, unaware that the ranch and land are cursed.
