Best friends Mike Stevens and Taylor Adams had been together for as long as they could remember. At twelve years old the boys were as close as brothers. And from this bond, would the events of the next few days come to pass.
It all started innocuously enough, Mike and Taylor were simply hanging out watching television. As there was a commercial playing at the moment, the two boys were on their cellphones. "So the next game in the series comes out in a few months," Taylor said as he read news for said game. "Oh yeah..." Mike replied back. Taylor noticed he was looking at his phone peculiarly. "What is it?" "Huh? Oh, its nothing." "It's not nothing. I see you staring holes into your phone. Whatcha looking at?" Taylor moved up to Mike to get a better look at his phone. "Okay, okay. I just got this weird ad is all." "Weird ad?" "Yeah. For something called a Wish Granting app." "Sounds like a scam to me." "I thought so too, but my phone says its safe and everything."
Taylor looked at Mike's phone and saw the app in question. It said "Wish Granting App" in big, bold letters. Below was a place to enter something, presumably the wish in question. "Still looks like a scam to me." "Yeah, I know, but..." Taylor couldn't believe Mike was even entertaining the idea, but he knew he was the kind of kid to get swept up in these things. "Well, type something into it then." "You think I should?" "You might as well." Taylor knew Mike would be hung up on this forever, so it was best if he would humor him. And besides, there was no way a dumb cell phone app could grant wishes. "Well, here goes then..."
