“Olivia… can I tell you something?” Kimberly felt a rush of emotions as Olivia’s eyes met her’s, Kimberly knew those eyes very well.
“What’s up, Kim?” Olivia said, her tone light as her long wavy hair, Kimberly felt herself get lost in them for a moment just looking at her, imagining her finger caught in those scarlet locks.
“Olivia, when you would babysit me, I was just old enough to really developed a crush, and it was a mostly fleeting one, but I had it for awhile. You were a cute guy, and I grew out of it fairly quickly. But now, as I look at you and you’re basically my age, maybe a bit older or even younger, I can’t help but… but feel those feelings again.” Kimberly bit her lip slightly as she looked down, her face as red as the Olivia’s hair.
“Kimmy…” Olivia said, her voice soothing Kimberly as she felt her hands slowly being wrapped by Olivia’s. “I can’t say I felt the same back then obviously, you were 9 and I was 19. That’d be weird.” Kimberly laughed slightly admits the crying she had softly been doing. Olivia wiped a tear from Kim’s face as she continued.
“That being said, yesterday I felt a great deal of love for you. Obviously not in the way of a crush, more like a sister or mother, a paternal guide through a strange voyage of being a kid again.” Olivia started to tremble
“I won’t lie, I didn’t like the prospect of being older again, cause you’d made such an impression on me then, and when I decided to be a teen, I wanted to be about as old as you at the most. I wanted to be your friend, I wanted to look you in the eyes and let you know I appreciate you. And now… now I look at you and I feel something in me burn hot, I feel an ache that I haven’t before. Kimberly… I think I feel the exact same way.” Kimberly was grinning ear to ear as Olivia leaned in for a kiss, a Deep, long, passionate kiss.
The two pulled away slowly as they felt the warmth on their face fad slightly as they looked into each other’s eyes. “So, I guess this means we’re dating?” Olivia ask. “Guess so, Liv.” The two embraced again, excitement and joy overwhelming them as they both sobbed softly.
“I guess I’ll have to go back to that magic shop, see if I can get something that can make it so reality sets in so that people won’t ask why I’m suddenly 10 years younger.” Olivia said.
“Maybe. It’d probably be a little easier than explaining to my parents that I have a new girlfriend that lives with my old babysitter, especially if they ever realize they never see the both of you in the same place at the same time.” Kim said, making Olivia laugh.
“Maybe. Well, we’ll figure it out I’m sure.” Olivia said as she lead her now girlfriend back to the couch to cuddle.
