It felt like days passing by, waiting for something to happen. I watched a few witches buy things, heard conversations about magic and witchcraft, and tried to comprehend everything that happened. However, being unable to speak or move made this a boring process.
Amy wasn’t completely gone. She eventually came back to the store to work, and sell some things. She didn’t even look or speak to me once.
Eventually, I heard a woman speak to Amy. “Hey, I uh, was given magic from the Wave of Light yesterday, and joined a coven today. They told me that I need clothes that can generate mana. Can you find me some?” The woman asked.
“Sure. Do you have anything in mind?” Amy asked.
“Well, I still want to go to college, and blend in. My coven sisters said that I should have an item that admits human thought waves to mask the magic energy. And it should be something that I can fit in public with,” the woman said.
“We don’t have too many items with that. Luckily, yesterday, we found just the cute piece of clothing for you!” Amy said.
I heard them walking towards me. I realized that I was about to be sold. It also baffled me that I was only on sale for one day, since it seemed like so much time has passed.
“A denim skirt? That will work. Thank you so much!” The woman said. As she unclipped me from the hanger, I saw what she looked like. She was a petite blonde woman who looked very attractive. Her hands felt really nice on my material, as if it were natural.
I felt sad that it seemed like any opportunity of turning back was gone. I was also angry that Amy was treating me as if I were never her step-brother. However, I also felt a little bit of excitement finally leaving the store.
The woman paid for me with the credits the coven gave her. She revealed that her name was Jane.
I was put into a bag, feeling miserable being isolated from human skin. She snapped her fingers, and I saw our location change. We seemed to be in a normal house.
“Alright, let me get changed into you, and I can show you off to the sisters,” Jane said. “I can’t use you everyday, people will notice. But maybe I can disguise you as a different outfit, or see what the others say. Well, we’ll cross that bridge when it comes.”
