Hōman Harekōgan was packing hir things. The tubby tanuki's fat belly shook with sheer excitement, for shi was about to set off for Kyodainayokai-beya in Kyoto, the yokai world's most respected sumo school. Once hir bags were packed, shi admired hir voluptuous raccoon dog body in hir mirror. Hōman was 5'7" tall, and shi weighed 224 pounds. Not bad for an amateur, if shi did say so hirself. What's more, Hōman's fat ballsack dangled down to almost hir knees. Shi wouldn't have any trouble with dating in Kyoto, that was for certain!
Hōman was the pride of hir village. Shi put on weight easily and was always the champion of the sumo contests at the village festivals. Hir parents encouraged hir to go professional, and shi less than humbly agreed with their assessment. Shi was the greatest sumo in the world, or at least shi would be once Kyūri Sensei showed hir everything he knew. To be fair, the crusty kappa WAS 1,300 years old, while Hōman was only 17. Of course he'd be a bit more skilled than Hōman with that much time to hone his craft. Hōman KNEW shi would wrestle rings around hir fellow pupil's however. How could any of them ever hope to compare with Hōman Harekōgan?! Shi was willing to wager half of them wouldn't even be fat!
Hōman reluctantly tore hirself away from the mirror, threw on some clothes, picked up her luggage, and headed out the door. Fame and glory were waiting for hir!
