You stare into the mirror terrified as you realize you became a common crow. As you move your head you notice a black mass where your nose was - your beak you realize. You let out a croaking sound involuntarily as the news of what you became dawn on you. You convulse from bewilderment and are reminded that you are still being held by your torturer's hands.
You examine your changed body further. You must tilt your head to see the mirror because of your new face arrangement, if you can still call it that. You see your pitch black feathers covering almost your entire body, your big beak as you move your head around and notice how bit it is in the mirror. With that you become assured that you really became a crow.
Even though you became smaller as you wiggle in the man's grip you feel like he can barely keep a hold of you, after all crows are pretty big. Regardless, no matter how much you try to squirm out of his grasp you are being held in such a way that your wings are unable to move an inch.
You then hear muffled sobbing, soon comprehending it's your mother. She was forced to watch this whole scene and your painful transformation. Now she probably thinks you've also lost your humanity. You want to cry too as you glance at your crow body, you will be trapped in it forever. Everything because of your captors and now they make you watch your mother witness your horrible fate. Maybe they will transform her as well? No, you can't allow it. You can't bear this any longer and begin to thrash wildly to escape. You jolt out and peck at the gloved hands with all your might, you might be just a bird but your beak is surprisingly strong. The scientist screams in pain and shock leaving you a chance to escape except... You don't know how to fly. You just became a bird, you weren't born one - you didn't know exactly how to start the flight. You started flapping your wings vigorously. You were able to get off the ground for two seconds and... fall onto the floor after slowly gliding down. Your captors calmed down after the initial shock and jumped onto you catching you again.
