When Alex awoke, he found himself laying on the same sandstone steps, the light snore from the Jackal close by, he had been out fir quite a while by the looks of things, as the sun's morning light began to bleed into the room.
Every muscle in Alex's body felt stiff and sore, as if he had worked out every muscle for hours on end, each movement as he sat up making him groan in pain, that's when he felt something cool and hard on his chest.
Alex reached over his chest and lifted up a silver dagger, its blade curved and sharp, Alex's reflection glistening back at him, its handle was black leather, with a hippos head at the end, its mouth agape revealing its mighty jaws and teeth.
As he inspected the weapon he suddenly realised his fingers were pressed into the blade, its silver surface embedded in his skin, but when Alex let the dagger go, his fingers were untouched, while the dagger now hung around his neck, a silver chain now in the hippoes closed mouth.
"About time you woke up, honestly your not just uneducated your also lazy" came a familiar voice as Alex looked to the balcony to see Tawarete leaning back on the railing as she took in the morning sun.
Alex simply waved her off "well where I'm from we don't get up at the crack of dawn to start the day, normally it's a bit later than that" he said as he stood up, before glancing at the dog who remained asleep.
"Strange, never been to such a place, it's custom here to greet the morning sun, to give thanks for another day" said Tawarete as she turned and bowed to the sun, Alex not wanting to insult the hippo goddess gave a small bow in the suns direction, wincing again from the soreness
"Man, what the hell did you do to me, everything hurts to move" he groaned, easing himself down the archway to the balcony, now sat upon the floor.
"Well I have never heard someone complain so much about getting given gifts from a goddess, but if you must know, one; I have given you the strength of the hippo, meaning that almost any challenger will be miniscule to you in terms of strength, second; I have created an aura of lust around you, being a goddess of pregnancy is hard when there are no pregnancies around for me to draw power from, and finally I have made your physique more appealing to the women,that was just me giving you a hand, so don't say I don't do anything"
It was then that the doors to the bed chamber flung open and three women entered, two Alex guessed to be guards, they both had dark brown skin, their heads shaved balld with dark brown eyes, they wore simular eye liner as Amunet, their eyelashes long and dark, they wore silver necklaces around their necks made of wide sheets of metal, reaching to their sholders and down over the tops of their
C cup breasts, their dark nipples left exposed to the elements, they wore no top covering if any kind, their arms, back and stomach left bare, and around their wide yet muscular thighs and hips they wore a simple brown loincloth, their hips and ass exposed, and a simple pare of sandals on their feet.
And behind them stood none other than Amunet herself, now adorned with a pharaohs Nemes on her head, coloured in gold and white, its sides draping over her sholders and a long thread down her back, her golden hair completely concealed within "guards bring him to my throne room, me, my advisors and magicians wish to speak at length with this man about what he has done...."
