On her way to Chemistry class, Naomi Miller noticed two of her teammates, Sofia Rivera-Lopez and her girlfriend Maddison Kaufman deep in conversation.
"Of course we're gonna get married," said Maddison. "Right after college works for me. And we're gonna have kids, right?"
"You mean like adoption?" asked Sofia.
"No," said Maddison, "I meant actually HAVING kids. With our DNA. I love you, Sofia, and I just wanna create a new life with you, from the two of us. I want to put a baby inside you."
"And how are you gonna do THAT?!" asked Sofia incredulously. "You don't have a dick."
Maddison blushed. "I know, but there's always donor sperm."
"Donor sperm wouldn't have your DNA in it," said Sofia. "It'd be my kid, but you wouldn't actually be the father, Madds."
Maddison sighed. "Well, what if my brother was the donor? I know he'd do it, and his DNA'd be pretty close to mine."
Naomi saw an opportunity. She sauntered towards Sofia and Maddison. Sofia Rivera-Lopez was a tall Puerto Rican girl with golden caramel skin and dark hair worn in a shaggy bob cut. Maddison Kaufman was a buff, tattooed girl with blue eyes and an undercut dyed green on the top and kept its natural light brown on the buzzed sides.
"I couldn't help but overhear," Naomi chimed in. "I gather you're making plans for the future?"
Maddison blushed at the honey-skinned girl's question. "Y-yeah."
"So you want biological kids, huh?" asked Naomi.
"Definitely," said Maddison. "I know it's weird, but I wanna get Sofia pregnant. In the future, I mean! When we're ready."
Naomi nodded, causing the tips of her cornrows to bounce. "But you need a penis."
Maddison nodded back. "Pretty much. Artificial insemination's an option, I guess, but I want to be the father of Sofia's kid, not some nameless sperm donor."
"Yup," said Naomi. "You guys DEFINITELY need a dick. Balls, too. Good thing I know where you can get all that."
"For real?" asked Sofia. "If that were a thing, wouldn't all kinds of lesbian couples be doing it?"
"Not something like this," said Naomi. "You see, it involves magic. Abbie has this friend, Selena. Selena has this incredible secret."
